Usually it's the mentor who waits for the apprentice, not the other way around. Today was different.
The tip of Juncopaw's short, thickly furred tail (starting to get irritating in the increasing heat these days) anxiously stirred the sand of the hollow back and forth while the uncommonly warm sun beat down. It was getting close to greenleaf now and one could tell.
Of course, the silver tabby was only making observations about the weather to distract herself from the nervousness she was feeling.
It was today, right? I was supposed to meet Rabbitface in the hollow at sunhigh today. Not yesterday, or tomorrow? Oh please tell me it's today. She'd specifically gotten here early to impress him. But what if it was the wrong day after all?
What's he going to do? Assess my skills? Teach me new ones? I promised myself that I'd practice more, but I forget sometimes...
The PineClan apprentice sniffed the air in hopes that she would be able to smell the deputy of her Clan coming, and pricked her ears to detect any pawsteps.
OOC: Sorry it's a bit short, wasn't sure how to stretch it without it becoming too repetitive. |P
