Simply Losing Something Isn't The Same As Watching it Burn He used to dream of her. It always made him happy to dream about her, because she always made him happy. He couldn't get enough of her, not even in his sleep.
But then one day she left, and it was his fault. His dreams changed drastically after that. Filled with fire, they were, yes, fire and the gut-wrenching terror that comes with love being burned away.
He would wake up in the night, shaking and whimpering like a little kit, because his dreams weren't just dreams. They were a memory.
---
Word Count: 91 Prompt: #6, imagination. The Unfortunate Soul: Briartail of StreamClan (Me) Comment: For those of you who don't get it, check out his bio.
... sorry I'm doing so many with my own characters. e.e Haha, try and read it with a mental Gollum voice. It makes it much more entertaining. -shot-

What A Useless Tree - Not Even Enough Leaves to Provide Shade. How can anybody expect me to be happy when I'm named after a tree that cries?
Oh, sure, the leaves are all very nice and pretty, shimmering and silver, but they fall off. Willow trees are so ugly with their leaves gone. Maybe that's why nobody loves me. I'm not pretty enough.
---
Word Count: 52 Prompt: #7, the tree. The Voice: Willowpaw of FogClan (Slug-- v1) Comments: You could always let your leaves grow back, little one.

Why, it's You, Silly. As we sat in the loft of our barn, you looked out at a shooting star. Its fiery trail left a mysterious gleam in your eyes. I still haven't figured it out.
"Somewhere, a kit was just born," you said.
"Oh?"
"Yes. Don't you know that we're all stars? Somewhere, a star fell when you were born too."
"What about that one?" It was a star that didn't blink, just above the mountains. You looked at it and smiled.
"Why, it's you, silly! Those stars are the most special of all. They'll never fail."
"I love you too, Ember." Bliss.
---
Word Count: 100 Prompt: #19, celestial. The Voice: Briartail of StreamClan (Me) Other Characters: Ember (NP, deceased) Comments: I had this idea, and it wouldn't leave my mind alone. YOU'RE WELCOME, BRAIN. It's done.

Why So Sad? "Why are you so sad all the time, Willowpaw?"
"Seriously? I have no choice."
"Yes you do."
"Don't say that! You don't know what it's like to be me! You still have your family, don't you?"
"You do too, you just don't exactly have their bodies is all. You still know who they were, you still have those memories. Don't you? Or have you forgotten?"
"Well... no."
"They wouldn't have wanted you to be this way, Willowpaw. You always have the choice to be happy."
---
Word Count: 85 Prompt: #9, options. Characters: Crowpaw of PineClan (Me) and Willowpaw of FogClan (Slug) Comments: Poor Willowpaw. He has to be told that he has the option of happiness. :c
And yay for not long drabble!

The Thing Swooping down on wings all set a-glitter By the starlit sky The Thing came. Its identity remains a mystery to me, Even to this very day.
Have you ever seen a bird so big That it could carry away an eagle's nest If it wanted to? Its head seemed to be tipped with flame Or blood. Everything about it exuded A raw power, but it seemed to be harmless. All it did was touch down in the pond For a few heartbeats, catch A frog in its long beak, and take flight once more.
---
Word Count: 94 Prompt: #11, crest. Comments: Just incase you were wondering, the bird mentioned is a sandhill crane. I didn't choose a character for this drabble because I didn't think that there was any particular voice to it. It's just a cat telling a story about something unusual that happened to it once.

I'm Nothing Special, Really. "You know what the problem with you is, Crowpaw? Everybody thinks you're so perfect. They all think that you're the best thing ever. But you're really not."
I don't suppose that I'm included in "everybody," then? I'm not perfect, far from it. I'm a cat, same as you, same as everybody. There's really nothing all that special about me. My mentor won't even give me the time of day.
Some say that I'm pure, pristine as a newly fallen snow. They can't see that I'm just as tarnished as everybody else. All I do is push it away. You see, all I am is happy. That's really all it takes. Maybe if you tried it sometime they'd see you the same way too.
---
Word Count: 123 Prompt: #14, pristine. The Characters: Willowpaw of PineClan (Whiskers) and Crowpaw of PineClan (Me) Comments: This drabble was written in response to one written by Cloudie. It just felt necessary. I also thought it'd be nice for everybody to see part of how Crowpaw sees himself, before everybody started thinking he was narcissistic to a disgusting degree. :3

Avari (Unwilling) I felt you growing inside of me once, you know. I'd grown accustomed to the feeling, as much as I'd hated the fact that you even existed. Your cells, my cells, multiplied. You grew, you existed, you took on shape, form, and the beginnings of a personality, yet all I could muster towards you was a cold indifference. I thought that maybe things would be different when I could see you, not just feel the flutters of your tiny, half-grown paws. Well, we both know how that turned out. No matter how hard I tried, I could never see you as anything but a reflection of the tom who made you.
It's taken until now to see that I made you too. What would you be like if you hadn't died on the journey? You might have been something great, my little one.
---
Word Count: 143 Prompt: #49, fetal. The Voice: Gingerstar of PineClan (Whiskers) Comments: Er... yeah. Whiskers wanted me to do a Gingerstar one, and I might do a few more. By the way, the title is in Sindarin Elvish, incase you're wondering. Yeah. I had title block.

No-Way Glass "The windows of my soul are made of one-way glass. Don't bother looking into my eyes if there's something you want to know, just ask." - Ani Difranco
It's true, you know. You'll learn so much more about me by actually talking to me than you would by just looking into my eyes. If you're curious about the character of my soul, get to know me, not my eyes.
My eyes aren't mirrors, people.
---
Word Count: 74 Prompt: #13, reflective. The Voice: Dovepaw of FogClan (Me) Comments: I was super excited about this particular drabble, because it was originally going to be about a blind cat. Then I realized that we only had one, and she was in applications, and that her eyes were expressive. So that sort of died, and I was forced to use my own character yet again. I'm sorry I've been doing that so much, guys. I really tried this time.
You could try to imagine this one the way it was going to be, though. The last line was "Besides, you'll find about as much in my eyes as I do with them." Unfortunately, it was not to be so.

Because lately, the weather has been so bi-polar, and consequently, so have I. I had a dream about you. Well, really, it wasn't about you, not specifically. I'm not making any sense, am I?
There was this huge rain cloud, you see, and it was blocking the sun. Some cats didn't mind, your friends, but I did. I wanted to drive you away. You were blocking what little sunlight could come into my forest. I tried everything within my power to get the rain cloud to leave, but it was even more stubborn than I.
Then the sun poked through, and the rain was driven away. Oddly enough, the dream-me was sad. I'd grown to respect you, you see. You were my great nemesis, and now that you were gone, there was nothing left to fight, just myself.
---
Word Count: 125 Prompt: #73, stay with me. The Voice: Gingerstar of PineClan (Whiskers) The Spoken To: Rainpaw of PineClan (Me) Comments: Alright, so I'm on a bit of a Gingerstar kick. I know this really doesn't make any sense at all, at least in current context. Uh... yeah. Gingerstar had a dream. Let's just go with the whole dreams-make-no-sense-anyway thing. xD
It's sort of like Gingerstar is asking Rain to stay with her, just in a really weird, roundabout way that only they would understand? I dunno. By the way, the title is lyrics from High of 75, by RelientK. I couldn't resist.

Just A Nice Game of Hide-and-Seek Remember when you were a kit, and you'd play hide-and-seek with your friends? That's what knowing you is like, Harepaw. It's just that I'm not seeking you. I'm seeking your soul. I just wish you'd join the game.
I don't know how long this game will last, or even if I'll find anything in the end, but I have to at least try.
---
Word Count: 63 The Prompt: #103, impossible. The Voice: Firepaw of FogClan (Whiskers) The Spoken To: Harepaw of PineClan (Pyro) Comments: Firepaw and Harepaw's rp is interesting. :3

Briartail, you're cracked. But maybe it's not such a bad thing.
"Good morning, Redtail!"
At first, as I glanced up to the sky, I thought that you must be cracked. The sun had passed its peak for the day- no more morning.
"What, do you have bees for your brain? It's the afternoon, see!"
"No, I meant what I said. The afternoon hasn't ended yet, so I can't say if it was good or not."
Then you just pranced away, smiling as if everything was right in the world. How come you always have to be so... happy? You're one of the weirdest warriors ever, I can tell you that much.
---
Word Count: 100 Prompt: #17, visionary. The Voice: Redtail of StreamClan (Cloudie) The Spoken About: Briartail of StreamClan (Me) Comments: Briartail might be a little bubblehead most of the time, but sometimes he has his moments.

Come Back To Me "Don't you dare lie to me! You're lying, I know you are!"
"No, Willowpaw, I- "
"You stole my best friend from me. She was fine with me, and then you had to go and show up! You stole her away, Crowpaw, and now she can barely look at me! She hates me, just like you hate me."
"No, I don't hate you. I could never hate you, you're- "
"JUST SHUT UP, OKAY? You never listen to me. You only care about yourself and your stupid little herbs. You don't even care about Bluefur or Mom or Juncopaw."
"Willowpaw, wait, don't run away!"
"Someday everybody's going to find out what you really are. Then they'll feel stupid for thinking that you're 'so great.'"
You ran away after that, probably thinking that you'd hurt my feelings. But I saw you, sister, and if cats could cry you would've been. Can't you see that hating me is only hurting you? Come back to me and see that I love you, Willowpaw.
---
Word Count: 168 Prompt: #12, passion. The Voice: Crowpaw of PineClan (Me) The Spoken To: Willowpaw of PineClan (Whiskers) Comments: The world would be a better place if more people were like Crowpaw. I wish I could be more like him sometimes. By the way, the passion referred to here is Willowpaw's hatred of her brother.

Love Can Be Toxic I told you not to eat the berries, no matter how shiny and red and good they looked. I told you they would make you sick. So then what did you do? You ate every last one of them. Now you're going to die, and there is nothing I can do.
Twolegs use that plant for something weird and "romantic," but I don't see how they can. I mean, they say that it's a symbol of love, that it creates love or something weird like that. Well, for us, it destroys things. It destroys life and love. How can they stand something like that?
---
Word Count: 104 Prompt: #15, mistletoe. The Voice: Finchpaw of FogClan (Whiskers) Comments: Well, hooray for mistletoe. Sorry guys, I couldn't think of any other way to use this prompt.

What part of "MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA" don't you understand? "Hey Briar, watch this!"
"Watch what?"
"I'm gonna take over the forest, see?"
"How, Flare?"
"MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!"
"Flare, you're silly. You can't take over the forest."
"What part of 'mwahahahaha' don't you understand? I can do it. My evil laugh enables me!"
"This game is boring."
"Fine, I'll just go play with Snowy then."
"Okay. Have fun!"
I miss those days. We got along back then. We played games, even if you left in the middle and went to play with our sister. Well, now I'd play any game with you, brother, no matter how boring or ridiculous it is.
---
Word Count: 99 Prompt: #99, I miss you. The Voice: Briartail of StreamClan (Me) The Spoken To: Firefang of PineClan (Me) Comments: Firefang is coming back. I'm gonna start playing him again, whoop-de-doo.
Anyhow, yeah. Poor Briartail. Perhaps I should do a Firefang drabble too, just to start figuring out his character again.

Invictus You wouldn't have wanted me to do what I've just done, father. "Just stick it out, son," you would've said. "Don't be a coward and run. Be brave like you used to be."
Well, you know what, dad? I'm done caring what you would think. You're dead. You don't rule over me anymore. I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul.
Know what that means, dad? Yeah, that's right. I'm back. Aren't you proud? Your little Willowpaw's growing up. And this little Willowpaw's gonna try captaining his own soul for a while, instead of letting you do it for him.
---
Word Count: 106 Prompt: #83, never too late. The Voice: Willowpaw, formerly of FogClan (Slug) The Spoken To: Snow-whisker Comments: I know this is probably way off course in his character development, but this is how I imagined Willowpaw right now. Slug, if this is inaccurate, please don't kill me. I mean, in any case, running away with Owlstar and all the rest of them took some guts on his part. I'm just playing around with the idea of his new freedom freeing him a bit. It's about time he gets over his father anyway, yeah?
