 Hey my fellow FoFians c: As you might be able to see, FoF is finally beginning to settle into the new site. It's wonderful to see so many of you returning and all the new joiners who have appeared! We're beginning to flourish now, and I do believe that things are looking up! Anyway, even in the short time since the last announcement, a lot of things have happened. First, to out of character news. Staff You may or may not have seen Whisker's resignation post. Grudgingly, Whiskers has had to step down from adminship at FoF due to real life time constraints. The staff are very sad to see her go, but we are reassured she will remain on the site as an ordinary member. If you want to hear the news from the horse's mouth (not that Whiskers is a horse...) do take a look here. So, what does this mean for the staff team? We now need a new admin. Now, before you all leap to shout 'CAN I APPLY?!' we will not be opening traditional auditions for one. For now, Pyro and I have enough time to work as a duo, rather than a trio. However, be assured that we will be thinking about things behind the scenes. HOWEVER, that's not to say that we are not looking for staff at all! Staff Auditions are now open! As we've repeated over and over again, we are looking for Mods and Bio Mods. There are no closing dates planned, we will simply close it when we have all the staff we need. Let me stress that we're looking for a lot of staff this time, so it really is worth applying! No experience needed, we'll train you on the job! Fogclan Plot As you may have already noticed, the Fogclan plot subforum is now visable to members  Yep, the relevant threads and details have been worked out, and so we can officially relaunch the Fogclan Plot. Take a look at all the threads here. Volepelt is now running the clan as a vicious dictatorship with the Council acting as his own personal mafia ring, and the means by which 'purity' is kept are getting progressively worse. The Fogclan Plot, previously, was somewhat laborious for both staff and members. The rules were pretty strict and controlling, and it was hard to apply for anything in there. This time, we've changed things significantly. The plot is now self-sufficient, and roleplay is a lot freer and less controlled. The admins will not check up on what you're doing, and all rules are guidelines that can be broken! In a nutshell, the plot is exactly what you make it, and you're free to create your own drama within the unusual setting! So, even if you did not like the previous Fogclan plot, do take a second glance. It's been modified drastically for your benefit, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it much more this time We are looking for Council members! These cats are Volepelt's trusted and they carry out much of the punishments, missions and important tasks of the clan. We are now streamlining the application process, and the relevant thread outlines how to apply with an existing cat or from scratch. We are likely to accept every application for one that we come across, so you have nothing to lose! Bird Prefixes In order to give the site a more Colorado flavour (Yes, that /is/ where the clan is set. Didn't ya know?), we have added a huge amount of suitable Colorado-native bird prefixes to the Acceptable Prefix list for you to use! Feel free to use (but not abuse them!). If you find another native bird you fancy using which isn't in the 'Not acceptable' list, feel free to ask the admins and they'll argue among themselves about it, and possibly add it to the list. We may be adding more prefixes for native Colorado animals in future, too. We'll tell you if that happens! Moving cats over The staff are aware that this is an ongoing process for most of you, however we want to put a call out for those of you who have got your cats accepted but not moved, to make an effort to get your cats up quickly. At the moment, we have several people with this situation, and the move over thread is currently quite cluttered, making it difficult for the admins to keep track of the cats yet to be processed. If you could move your cats over and delete your posts, the staff would really appreciate it. This way of transferring characters over will not be here forever, so do transfer the cats sooner rather than later! You might end up regretting it if you don't. Topsites! To start FoF v2 on a fresh slate, the admins will be creating a new entry on Warriors Wish Topsites, which will direct people to this site and hopefully attract some new members (and, ya know, because Crow was the only person able to access the old entry). So, if you could help us to get started there, please give the Topsites banner a few more clicks than normal and, if you fancy it, give us a review Let's get FoF v2 at number one, and FoF v1 at number two ! |
