you can skyrocket away from me
and never come back if you find another galaxy
far from here with more room to fly
just leave me your stardust to remember you by
Name | Stormflower;; Previously Storm
Gender | She-cat
Age | 46 Moons ( 3 1/4 years )
Rank Warrior
Beliefs Stormflower isn't a hard believer like some StreamClan cats, but believes in the starry warriors all the same. She had a little problem in the beginning, having been a loner, but once she witnessed the leaders take their nine lives it become something impossible not to believe. She generally shuts down when it comes to religion, but it's nothing to take offense too. Stormflower isn't much of a talker on feelings.

Appearance |
Pelt ||x Her base color is mildly complicated. It is a mix of a very light tan and gray. Darker colored tabby stripes cover her body in the traditional tabby way. An ivory, of sorts, covers from her muzzle just below her nose to the bottom of her jaw. There it fades back to the tan/gray coloring.
Her tabby stripes are lighter upon her face, chest and legs but darken on her back and along her tail. On her tail there are full rings instead of stripes. Each ring becomes darker until her tail tip; which is ink black and solid.
Frame ||x Stormflower's frame makes her to look underfed. Fact of the matter is, she doesn't gain weight very easily. If looking at her from above, her body line protrudes at her head then waves in for her neck, comes back out in the smallest hairline for her shoulders and rib cage. Finally, it dips in where her stomach is and very elegantly swings back out for her hips.
Her tail is long and whip like and generally curls over her back in a cobra fashion. This she cat's legs are long and nimble, enabling her to run with ease and change direction a little faster than most. All in all, this she-cat's body whispers grace.
Other Features ||x Eyes of a soft gold are adequately spaced on her angular head and are wide. Wide in the sense of cute and innocent, how deceiving. White hued whiskers accent her eyes to appear even brighter and contrasts mildly with her darker pelt. Her nose is a light shade of black with ink black outlining it.
Personality |
Quiet x::x Stormflower is a very quiet cat. Don't mistake this for being shy. She's constantly observing and calculating everything she can. She's a cat that likes to know how things work. More reasoning behind her quite ways would have to be from her kithood and growing up with a loveless relationship with her parents. It wasn't until she met Jesper that her softer colors began to show.
Sarcasm x::x Although quiet, her breath is never wasted when she speaks. Generally Stormflower is a clam kind of cat, but most of the time her words can be sharp or dry; perhaps even both. If she chooses to speak her voice is soft but strong. She has a dry kind of humor and tends to snap at younger cats that ask stupid questions. Perhaps this side came from having to fend for herself against her cutting parents. Perhaps it's just they way she was born.
Rough Edges x::x This side more came from having a dull life while growing up. Stormflower learned to cover up for herself and fend against loveless parents. Eventually she broke from them and fell in love. After having two kits it was all swept away when she fell in love with StreamClan. Giving up her mate he took their well grown kits and left her. This event only prodded the sarcasm and quiet side of the she-cat. She can be fairly prickly to talk to at times and it's just best to stay out of her way when in a bad mood.
Sweet x::x Still, Stormflower has her moments of being loving. Most of the time this aspect is shown toward first time Queens and elderly cats. To see the glow on their faces she reminds herself of the time she had with her own kits and mate. Another good time to catch this biting cat is during night hours. For some reason or another, Stormflower feels closer to her past loves, mate and kits, for they can all see the stars. It's times like staring into Silverpelt that Stormflower really believes in StarClan.
Blunt x::x Along with her sarcasm tags the talent of bluntness. Choosing when to speak most of the time you'll get the answer you don't want to hear. When asked a question she isn't one of bending the truth. Stormflower may try to soften it, but you're likely to have your feelings hurt in the slightest. She doesn't do it out of spite but more of a learned habit.
Thoughtful x::x Her words are picked carefully, her decisions the same. She doesn't want to be taken as foolish so thinks her actions through. Her mind is pretty quick so she doesn't take a lot of time.
Flaws x::x While a sweet cat, some of the time, Stormflower has a small temper. If caught in a bad mood she's one to snap at whoever gets like a tick on her shoulder. The bad part is she wont feel bad about it. To her it's obvious when a cat doesn't want to be bothered, so why waste the time feeling bad for something that could be avoided?
Sometimes jealousy can take hold of the silver tabby when new mates form. Even though her love drifted toward the Clans and caring for them to her highest extent, she still loves Jesper. Having to loose him was like tearing away her other half.
Skills |
Stormflower is strong in: Swimming, Organization and Fighting
Swimming ..::.. Stormflower is a fairly good swimmer. Her paws can turn against some strong currents and handle keeping her head above the water. This comes in handy when attempting to catch fish. This is generally her form of excersie and keeps her lean.
Fighting ..::.. Although not large, Stormflower is long-legged and agile. Her quick steps are her advantage and long legs allow sharp strikes. She likes to dance around her oppnent and cause some confusion before attacking.
Organization ..::.. Stormflower knows how to keep things going. She's excellent at forming patrols and hunting parties, if asked to, even if she's not so nice about gathering cats when they over sleep. She likes to run a tight ship but doesn't mind relaxing here and there.
Other ..::.. She's an alright hunter but mainly sticks to fishing. This tends to be from her timing being off. She could never wrap her mind around leaping at the right moment for she always second guesses herself while hunting. This probably started when her father over critiqued her on her form.
She's also not a good tracker. This is due to being born with a poor nose. Her ears are excellent but when it comes to smelling out things in difficult weather, and sometimes fine weather, Stormflower has a hard time.
History |
There was a Beginning ::.x.:: Stormflower, Storm at the time, was born to two loners; Ember and Jackel. They hadn't really wanted the kit in the first place but didn't have the heart to cast her out to die. Being loners they preferred to stay away from many cats and ended up with no other choice but to keep the tiny thing.
As days turned into nights, nights turned into long weeks and finally a few moons passed. By this time the kit was wild and held large mood swings. She was six moons and a handful. It probably didn't help that her parents didn't give any more love than was necessity. Often times bitting back to their hurtful remarks, they finally named her Storm for her snippy attitude. This only helped when she joined the clans, her pelt looked like stormy weather, therefore she got to keep the prefix to her name.
Everything she did was ridiculed. From her hunting style to the way she looked, she was never good enough. After some time, Storm lapsed into not speaking as much. She was twelve moons now and still trailing after her parents. They had so much love, but it was all for each other. Storm was like the third awkward wheel on a date.
By sixteen moons, Storm finally found someone.
Jesper.
A Middle ::.x.:: Jesper nearly swept her off her paws from the first time he spoke to her. Both were at a creek, Storm wadding in the waters alone, and Jesper coming around the bend to wash his paws. It started of casual, a smile here a smile in return, then he spoke.
"You play in the water often?" He had a purr to his tone, teasing but curious.
In return, "Do you always prey on lone she-cats?" The glow to her eye said it all. After that they were inseparable. At this point in her life, the only point in her life, did Ember show actual affection toward her daughter. Urging her to go with the tom, Storm couldn't decide if her mother was really wanting her to or just wanted the life she had with her father before Storm was born. Taking it either way, Storm left.
And in the End, it leads to the Present ::.x.:: At twenty five moons, Storm had two kits, Bailey and Coal. Unlike her parents, she loved her kits more than anything. Jesper was the best father he knew how to be and they raised them off of humor and love.
Storm was still her snippy, blunt self but full of laughter and happiness. Ten moons passed by and they came across traveling cats. Intrigued by their thoughts, the small group joined them. Bailey and Coal played with other cats their age and Jesper and Storm wandered with cats that were their age or older. Already Storm was settling. She enjoyed the closeness of the cats and this new idea of StarClan. All of it fascinated her. Quiet and observant, the young she-cat gathered all she could and found her heart drifting toward this idea of the Clans.
Five moons of travel and Storm managed to keep her kits and mate with her. She was now 40 moons old and had been speaking with a cat that was to be a leader of a clan called StreamClan. Joining with, her kits and mate seemed to be fond of the idea as well.
Ecstatic, Storm joined up with StreamClan and took interest in running it. Fond of the idea of being a Deputy, she made the hardest decision she possibly could. She told Jesper they couldn't be mates because they had given her the position. Heartbroken, on both ends, Jesper took their kits, after a long good-bye and left her life.
To this day she still feels the hole in her heart from loosing Jesper and her kits. She has a silent vow to set off one day in search of her mate and kits and bring them back to the Clan that stole her heart. Until then, she treats the clan with as much love and fierce loyalty that she showed her small family.
Today Stormflower is a little more closed without Jesper and her harsher side tends to be more predominate.
Role Play Example |
The tiny bundles of fur squirmed against their mother, hungry for milk. Stormflower overlooked, slightly envious of the new mother. At the same time she felt a soft spot for the new Queen. Even if bitter thoughts did cloud her mind, Stormflower would not rain on this Queen's parade.
"They are beautiful Rainwhisker." The young she-cat looked up at her the warrior and smiled.
"They are a handful I'll admit! But worth it." Her eyes glowed with affection toward her three new kits. Stormflower gave a tiny smile and exited the den. Her short stay was all she could take at the moment.
Leaving the shadowed nursery the StreamClan cat accepted the soft breeze and closed her eyes to the sun. It was a warm day but kept cool with the occasional breezes that picked up. These were her favorite. Stormflower was always reminded of Jesper on days like this. Lost in her thoughts of the past, a younger warrior sat next to the silver cat.
"I don't see how you can handle that. I would have never been able to leave my mate, let alone my kits. Even if I loved them half as much as you loved yours."
Stormflower's lip curled in the slightest at the warrior's remark.
"StreamClan was in need of a Deputy."

"I don't see how you can handle that. I would have never been able to leave my mate, let alone my kits. Even if I loved them half as much as you loved yours."
Stormflower's lip curled in the slightest at the warrior's remark.
"StreamClan was in need of a Deputy."
"Mmm. So, you would give up the ones you love for power?"[/b] The russet colored cat beside Stormflower challenged her. Her eyes flashed dangerously, awaiting her elder's response.
Stormflower felt anger boiling in her stomach. She didn't leave her loved ones for power! She merely took a responsibility that was calling to her.
"If you call accepting responsibility from your Leader and StarClan a quest for power, then I have been failed in being taught the ways of StarClan. Next time your Leader, or your Deputy, comes to you and requests something, I'll be expecting you to decline the request. After all, you wouldn't want to do something for the better of your Clan."[/b] Even if her words were uttered quietly, they weren't soft. Her tone was harsh and jabbing, full of intent to strike. The russet warrior stared at Stormflower with hurt eyes and walked away.
At that point Stormflower didn't care. Wrapping her black ringed tail tightly around her body, the silver tabby heaved a sigh from her lungs and muttered silently. The damned she-cat asked for it! Butting into her life as if she knew everything.
For the rest of that day Stormflower closed herself back into her silence. It was a slow day. The camp didn't need any more prey and all boarder patrols had been done. She, herself was going to take the first round of guarding the entrance.
Night had settled and most had gone to their dens, exhausted from the warming weather and all day's work. All but one were heading toward their dens. The russet colored female approached Stormflower from earlier.
"Stormflower?"[/b] Her voice was quiet as she came near. The silver tabby was staring at the stars, her eyes glazed happily and a soft smile placed on her features. It took a few minutes until she looked at her fellow warrior.
"Yes?
"I um..I wanted to apolo--" Very mother like, Stormflower brushed her tail tip over the younger warrior's mouth.
"Just look up."[/b] Doing as she was told the russet colored cat gazed up at Silverpelt. The stars twinkled brightly down on them. "Leaving Jesper and my kits was the hardest thing I could possibly do. I sit out every night and stare up at Silverplet knowing they can be seeing the same stars. I loved them with everything I have. I still do."[/b] Pausing she flicked her tail around as the other she-cat shifted uncomfortably. "The opportunity came and I jumped at it. I felt I could do more for more cats this way. I want to be there for the cat that feels unloved. My kits are already at ages to be warriors and my mate, or ex-mate I should say, loves me even more for making the decision I made."[/b] They both fell silent at that point, Stormflower perking her ears to the world outside of the camp walls, but eyes focused on the sky above.
The young warrior twitched her nose and watched the sky with her clanmate. Obviously she didn't want an apology. "What would you like me to do for you?" Stormflower met her gaze with a green one and smiled sweetly.
"Go to sleep Russetpelt. I want you for the dawn patrol." Her voice was soft, kind. Nodding Russetpelt stared into Stormflower's eyes and turned away feeling a little unsettled. Her golden eyes were bright and happy, but at the same time she could have sworn that Stormflower would cry if she could.
