Name | Kestrelheart
Gender | She-cat
Age | 16 Moons
Rank | Warrior
Clan | FogClan
Beliefs | Kestrelheart doesn't keep her belief in StarClan a secret from any-cat. She will talk to her shimmering ancestors on a regular basis, whether other cats can hear or not. Quite frankly, what other cats think of her beliefs are their problems, not hers.
Aside from believing in StarClan, this she-cat believes, greatly, in honesty, respect, loyalty, and her own ability to make her very ambitious dream a definite and glorious reality. Never does she doubt herself. StarClan has shown her the path that she is ultimately meant to walk and her heart is filled with the need to see that she makes it to the end of her path admired and very accomplished.
Though most cats of her clan are believers of StarClan, there still may be those that doubt, lightly or heavily. To these cats, Kestrelheart can be distant or judgmental. She tends not to keep company that may be detrimental to her belief or her relationship with her most graceful and loving ancestors. If she deems you as a bad influence, watch out! She'll either avoid you or scorn you for as long as it takes for you to change your entire way of thinking. It's her way or the highway in most aspects, unless you're of higher-rank and she has to do as she's told. Even so, she'll stand up for what she believes in, despite the consequences doing so might bring upon her.
If you judge her for what she believes, in any way, she will turn away from you and you will never be close to her in any way at all. As proud as she is, she can't stand being judged and picked on.
Parents | Eaglestorm (NP) and Larkstripe (NP). Siblings | Thornfoot (Brother; NP) and Squirrelpaw (Brother; PC).
Other Kin | None.
Mate | Not yet.
Crush | Not yet.
Kits | Not yet.
Apprentice/Mentor | Mothpaw
Appearance | Kestrelheart is striking in appearance, despite some aspects of her personality. She is slightly larger than the average she-cat, built for battle. Well-toned, as she trained for battle almost constantly as an apprentice -and you still might catch her doing so as a warrior - she is a formidable opponent and one to judge carefully.
This brown tabby has short to medium fur, it being longer in some areas; such as along her back, legs, and chest. It is of a mixture of colors, ranging from light brown to dark, with short gray hairs inter-mixing. The dark coloring of her back, legs, and head make it possible for her to remain hidden in a forest-area. The black stripes along the majority of her pelt only help to camouflage her when she is in need. From the back of her head to her nose, including her ears, begin to lighten in color, making here bright, grass-green eyes stand out. The white fur that goes from her mouth and chin to the majority of her under-side helps with this aspect of her appearance.
Kestrelheart is a common tabby, but she's one that stands out among others.
Long white whiskers adorn her face, above her eyes and along her muzzle. A long tail accompanies them at her back-end, the tip of it being the darkest bit of fur about her.
The most notable about her appearance has to be her eyes and her nose, which match none of the rest of her in color. Her eyes are a deep, earthy green and they make for excellent windows into her soul. This cat wears her emotions in her expression and it is very easy to tell, if you pay attention, how she's feeling at any given time.
Personality | Kestrelheart is, overall, a proud, confident, independent, capable, stubborn, loyal, honest, easy-to-annoy or anger she-cat. Every cat in her young life, whether they were there long-term or short, has made some sort of impression on her and she has taken part of that cat with her. So, she may pick up a habit or two that you most often see in another cat. She can't help it and, most of the time, doesn't even realize it.
This cat's emotions can be all over the place. At the same time, however, she can also seem reserved and quiet (though actually getting to see her feeling this way is rare). Most of the time, she is loud and boisterous, especially if she has a strong opinion about something, which occurs more often than not (a trait she inherited from her father). She is still learning to control what she says and does according to how she feels, but it isn't easy for this cat, so she always ends up yowling out what she wants to say in the wrong way, or at least not the best, due to her young age and emotion-driven thinking. At times, she can sound ignorant and naive, which causes her clan-mates to look down on here as much as they might look up to her for her skill and passion as a warrior. Her pride gets in the way here, as she does not enjoy appearing foolish or wrong.
Independence is something that this cat was seemingly born with. She'd never been too attached to her kin. Her relationships with them have never been strong, especially with Squirrelpaw, whom is still an apprentice at the age of sixteen moons. He is often-times subject to a cruel swat here and there from her, as she is apt to express her discontent and disappointment in him. It became clear to her, at an early age, that you could only count on yourself when it came to the most important things in life. She'd seen cats with sin-wounds. No cat helped them commit their sins and no cat, not even the medicine cat, was able to help them after they received their punishments. They were held accountable for themselves and, at the end of the day, could not count on anyone to come to their aid. Why become attached at all? Why spend valuable time on what you cannot count on? Her success, or her failure, was entirely up to her and no cat would help her. She had to help herself.
Loyalty to her kin, she has no use for. Her father has very little to do with them. He loves them, but he fears their attachments to him will only cause suffering and loss later when he dies in battle and joins StarClan. Their mother, weak from a major sin-wound, caught green cough just before her time to give birth in an epidemic but not fatal case of the sickness, and died shortly after they were all born. Her brother, Thornfoot, keeps to himself, reserved and content in his own variation of FogClan's belief, though he never outwardly expresses his opinion on the matter. She knows naught of where his varied belief came from. Squirrelpaw, if she had to choose, is the cat that she is most close to out of all her kin. He is mostly a useless scrap of fur that she sees as unworthy of FogClan's prestige and might, but he never, not once, ever faulted her for ever her worst treatments when she confronted him for his lack of motivation in his faith or training. He always smiled at her, always tried to get close, no matter how often she lashed out. He, unlike her, hadn't forgotten that they were brother and sister and would ever share a bond stronger than most. He is her sliver of hope that fuels her secret longing of developing strong relationships with others.
Loyalty to her Clan, however, and StarClan, is her utmost priority. She lives and will ultimately die for her Clan and the will of StarClan. Nothing shall sway her from her belief. FogClan is her map, FogClan is her enabler. Without them, she wouldn't know how to reach StarClan, nor would she even know of their true power, their true purpose. The way she chooses to live within her own Clan would, ultimately, determine her worthiness of StarClan when she lost her life, which she would do fighting for the ultimate cause. FogClan would make her the best of the best, an elite among the common, a lion among forest-cats. Kestrelheart is determined to be all that she possibly can be for her Clan.
Along with her independence comes her stubborn-streak (a trait she inherited, unbeknownst to her, from her mother). Kestrelheart is very set in her ways and does not easily change her mind about something. She may be wrong, but even then she's right. This she-cat has grown to think a certain way and no other cat shall sway her, unless the cat were respected and often right when most are wrong. Her stubborn, often bull-headed thoughts and actions also help others see her in a not-so-appealing light and she is often, by some, sneered at or looked at with contempt.
Despite this, Kestrelheart can always be relied on; in battle, in belief, and in being honest. She values loyalty, honesty, and trust above all else and she tends to look down on cats that she finds betraying some cat in some way or lying, no matter the degree of the tale.
As young as she is, this tabby is confident and easy to rile up. She will often hiss or snarl when angered, depending on the cat or situation that has angered her, because she is yet able to control her actions entirely. She is very vocal about her emotions sometimes, though she doesn't do well when having a normal conversation with any cat one-on-one. She always seems to struggle when it comes to such intimate talk, perhaps due to her refusal to develop functional relationships with her very own kin, or her father's reluctance to grow close to his own kits. In groups, when cats are only teasing or joking with each other, she is right at home.
Kestrelheart is a complicated cat and will not be easily understood. It takes a willing and persistent heart to truly get to know what may lie beneath her surface, which she hasn't even come to know yet. It will take patience and courage, as well. Friendships are more difficult for her to develop than rivalries.
Skills | Kestrelheart is a vicious fighter. This she-cat does not lose lightly. She throws all of her might and heart into every battle. As an apprentice, she spent the majority of her time training and honing her battling skills. Time and experience will transform this striking tabby warrior into a feline that most will respect, if not fear.
Other aspects of being a warrior, such as hunting, tracking, and tending to emotional clan-mates, she finds boring. Having not given as much effort to these areas as an apprentice, she is most certainly less-skilled. Kestrelheart will try her best and hardly ever complain (she will complain about having to hunt, if she has to do so too often in one day), but most will or have noticed her lack of ability when it comes to anything that doesn't involve striking an adversary down with the passion of only the most loyal of clan-cats.
In the way of being social, she isn't the best. Trying to be social, one-one-one only frustrates her, due to her quick temper and rough persona. However, she will tease and pick in any group of cats, if given the chance. She finds this form of communication much easier and less stressful.
She has much to learn and maybe hasn't found her niche just yet, but she's passionate and strong and she will stop at nothing.
History | Kestrelheart, along with her two brothers, were born into FogClan, to Eaglestorm and Larkstripe. FogClan and its beliefs are all these kits have ever known, so they adopted the those same beliefs easily and without question (though, as he grew, Thornfoot seemed to "discover" his own revisions to what FogClan taught).
They were lucky not to be in the Nursery alone. Some kits were born before them, some kits after. Some kits got to leave before them, other after. Watching the kits of six moons be allowed to leave the Nursery first, Kestrelkit always felt a stab of jealousy. They'd been told about what would happen once they were old enough to leave the Nursery during their lessons about StarClan. They'd become apprentices, they'd train, they'd begin to prove their worth as a warrior of FogClan and, in doing so, they'd be proving themselves worthy of StarClan.
Unlike most kits, Kestrelkit couldn't wait to become an apprentice. Most kits, or at least some, dreaded becoming apprentices. Apprentices were looked down upon in FogClan. They weren't respected, they weren't revered. They had to prove every little bit of themselves to their Clan, their Leader, and StarClan. Kestrelkit was always up for that challenge. She was determined to be the one apprentice that always stood out. The one that made her warrior brothers and sisters chest fur puff out in pure pride, when they looked upon her.
The day she turned six moons was the most exciting day in the history of all the Clans for her. The tabby kit could barely contain her excitement enough to go through her apprentice ceremony.
Once an apprentice, it didn't take long for the kit to realize that her training would take her all. She would have to put forth her utmost effort every day in order to please any cat within FogClan. It was difficult, exhausting, and demoralizing at times. It wasn't at all what she expected, but at the same time it was everything she'd dreamed. Her training was shaping her into the cat that she would some day need to be in order to fulfill her destiny. StarClan had spoken to her at an early age (or so she had convinced herself) and she'd had no trouble discerning that she was meant for great things in the dream "they sent her". Her dream hadn't been just another kit-dream that every cat had. It was StarClan, she was sure, and no cat would ever be able to sway her heart on the matter.
Because of this dream, though it wasn't truly from StarClan, she pushed herself as hard as she could as often as she could.
Despite her efforts, strong faith, and acceptable skills, she still had to train for another moon before she became a full warrior of FogClan. At fifteen moons, her warrior ceremony was held and she gained her warrior name; Kestrelheart.
Now, she was one leap closer to her ultimate goal and she couldn't be more proud.
Kestrelheart considers it her duty, as a new warrior now, to prove herself worthy of her Clan and her Clan-mates trust and faith.

Dude, for your first bio this is pretty impressive. I love the amount of detail that's been put into it. There's just a few points that need adjusting, though.
I. Her personality, while thorough, doesn't really go into why Kestrelheart acts the way she does. Why is she so loyal to her clan over her family? Why does she deem her family useless? And why is Squirrelpaw the one who has her favor? Just a few things to think about.
II. I love her history and the fact that she was born into the regime, but there's just one bit that needs to be adjusted. On FoF, we like to keep relatively ambiguous about StarClan's existence, and moreover, we like to keep StarClan 'dreams' to medicine cats and leaders, which is the way it's supposed to be. With all due respect why would Kestrelheart receive a dream from StarClan when she is only a young warrior? If you'd like to keep this bit, might I suggest it be a dream that Kestrelheart thought was from StarClan?
Other than those two things, again, this is a great bio.

I found something else I have to fix. Lol. At one point, I say her mother told her all about what life was like outside of the nursery and at another, I say her mother died shortly after their birth due to greencough. Wow.
