As she watched the sky slowly turn from pink and orange to purple, then looked towards the evening patrol that arrived.
Her gaze shifted towards her apprentice and she playfully flicked his nose with her tail.

"Aren't you at all tired?" she meowed questionably. "You've had a big day hunting, surely that energy would of vanished by now? It's too dangerous to take you out of camp and you've already been introduced to all the camp areas..."Maybe being an apprentice wasn't as easy as pie, she was stumped when it came to knowing what to teach her apprentice next. Especially when he was full of energy.

"I am quite tired I admit, but I need to learn everything in order to" Here he failed to stifle a yawn... "know what I need to be a warrior you can be proud of, Sparrowclaw."

He lifted himself off the ground, sunlight quickly vanishing, purred goodnight to his mentor and curled up in the apprentice den, filled with sleeping cats. He picked his way delicately, taking care not to tread on any tails, into his nest in the middle of the den, where he circled drowsily a couple of times, to get comfortable, before sinking into a peaceful, dreamless sleep.

Sparrowclaw had let out a mrrow of laughter when he meowed about not being trained in the ways of the warrior soon enough and just shook her head.

you have many moons to learn all this stuff... she thought. So little to learn, too... Who knows what will happen. with that, she began to groom her self, having no groomed herself in the long day and enjoyed the feeling of her tongue rasping at her pelt and brushing the ragged brown fur down.
