Name | Zahari
Gender | she-cat
Age | 19 moons
Rank | loner
Clan | none
Beliefs | Zahari is essentially an Atheist by definition, seeing as she does not believe in any known afterlife or ancestors. Despite being around Clan cats frequently, their beliefs do not seem to rub off on her. Like many cats who were born as a kittypet, she had never even heard of StarClan or any other set of beliefs in her life before leaving for the wild.
The story of StarClan, though she does not personally believe in it, frightens her with the ideas it holds. She fears that since she has been around Clan cats in the past, their afterlife applies to her and she will be condemned for not seeing it as possible to become a spirit.
Parents | Raj - Savannah (F1: Closest to wild as the hybrids get) - kittypet - alive and well [np] Queen - Savannah (F1: Closest to wild as the hybrids get) - kittypet - alive and well [np]
Siblings | Tamahoe - Savannah (F1 B) - kittype - alive and well (M) [np] Meeka - Savannah (F1 B) - kittypet - alive and well (F) [np] Moriah - Savannah (F1 B) - kittypet - alive and well (F) [np]
Other Kin | multiple aunts and uncles [np] maternal grandfather (African serval) [np, well I am actually not sure if they are even allowed] naternal grandmother (domestic) [np] paternal grandfather (African serval) [np, well I am actually not sure if they are even allowed] paternal grandmother (domestic) [np]
Mate | None yet
Crush | None yet
Kits | None yet
Apprentice/Mentor | Not a Clan cat
Appearance | Without knowing her lineage, Zahari appears to be a lanky, extremely tall young she-cat. Her legs are long and powerful, her back legs moreso than the front, with her back legs slightly longer. Her breeding caused a very exotic and foreign look to her features; larger nose than many other cats, teardrop markings on her muzzle, and large close-set ears. She also has a noticeably short tail, approximately three-quarters the size of an average cat her size, with no feathering and a blunt tip.
Her pelt is short and single layered, and is a striking dark cream color with even more striking markings for a cat who is more than half a wild feline. Her teardropping is the standard charcoal color, but the rest of her markings are a brilliant golden color, still shining from her life that she had recently left. Unlike many cats where the white on the pelt is very stark in comparison to the surrounding fur, Zahari's fur fades to a soft whitish cream color, with her paws being a dirty white color.
Her eyes are slightly brighter than those of her parents, siblings and wild grandparents. They are a medium golden shade and typically show little to no emotion. This can lead to her sending off the wrong signal about her feelings and appear apathetic about the world. Her eyes are often half closed, which reflects her personality, despite no visible emotions.
There will always be several things that distinguish her from many other cats. First is the fact that she wears a dog harness, which is a remnant of her life in a home and will most likely never be removed, not that she really wants it off. Unlike most collared felines, she does not carry a bell, since it was on her collar that she already removed. She is a very capable runner, which is yet another expression of the Serval blood that she carries. Her physical strength is average for her size, but she is easily chased off because of a lack of fighting skills.
Personality | Quirky is only the start of how to describe this young she-cat. She is extremely self-conscious about her appearence, personal space and cleanliness, often to the point where she is considered "yonkers" and unreasonable. Despite her wild blood, she is not considered fierce in nature, since she tends to keep to herself and limit the use of words. And this isn't just a face-value judgement, seeing as Zahari will admit herself that she is quirky.
Her love of personal space and somewhat shy nature leads her to try being apathetic to other's opinions about her. For the most part, she really doesn't care as long as what they say about her is honestly about her. Most of the time, she will not even acknowledge a remark unless she either agrees or is insulted by it.
She also tends not to talk and is a cat of few words. When she does speak, her voice is usually soft and flat in tone, mostly due to the fact that she is annoyed with something at almost any point in time. Despite the occassional nonsensical statements that come from her, when she says something unexpected, it does have an impact on others around her. She is a cat that holds strong confidence but rarely ever employs it in her life, mostly out of fear that she will be ignored, and partly because she believes that one will do what they want no matter what anyone says.
Despite her quirks, she is a fairly trustworthy cat who will never let anything slip, whether her own secrets or another's. No cat is sure if it is due to her normally quiet and observant nature, or if she truly keeps secrets that well, though both may play a role.
Even with being as quiet as she is, she is still a hybrid and harbours a fairly aggressive side when she is provoked. Her temper control is greater than many of her breed, and is considered passive aggressive, but she is still incredibly dangerous when it comes to her breaking point when she is angered. If she was a Clan cat and had recieved training, she would be an outstanding warrior since she would have been taught how to channel this temper.
Skills | Being a little more than half Serval, speed and hunting are Zahari's strongest abilities. Her sense of smell and hearing, sharpened by her large ears and nose, and also exceptional and gives her somewhat decent tracking capabilities.
Her weaker point, though, is fighting without being provoked, due to her lack of skills and sloppy claw work, which may or may not improve with time. She is also taller, which makes it harder to stay under cover and hidden from enemies.
History | Zahari was born in a Twoleg nest with her two sisters and brother. Her parents were hybrid cats named Raj and Queen, Savannah cats that were brought up to be pets and show cats. She was the only one in the litter that stayed with the owners of her parents. She lived here for the majority of her life, and was set to become a show cat, until she didn't show the wildness of her breed, much to her father's disappointment. Her brother Tamahoe was also returned for showing similar personality flaws.
When she and her brother were about 12 moons old, they got into a fight with Raj and stuck to only relying on each other for support. Queen told the two siblings that their father was simply disappointed that their traits were a bit different, but Zahari did not believe her, or her brother when he agreed with their mother. Several weeks later, she ran away from her home and went into the wild, passive aggression causing her to tear off her collar during a fight with another cat, which she lost. Her collar being torn off had been the only thing that symbolized her anger at her family, but her personality causing her to be unwilling to deal with it directly. This was her first introduction to the temper that her father had always wanted to see out of her.
Moons went by and she had grown to her adult size and gained her skills. She eventually learned to control the temper flares that plagued her since she left and found out about large groups of cats that lived in the area. She had several encounters with these wild cats, namely FogClan as she was closest to their territory. She also learned about StarClan from a young warrior named Sunburst, who would tell her stories about Clan life. As fascinated as she was, she refused to believe in StarClan, though she did fear the prospect of being shunned if there indeed was something after death. This fear was amplified when she learned that Sunburst had passed away from a wound that had gotten infected. The death of her friend caused her to fear StarClan even more, since Sunburst had admitted that her faith in StarClan had been slipping at the time of her death, even with reassurance that she was safely accepted by their ancestors. She has interest in Clan ways and curiousity as to what being in a Clan would be like.
Critique level | all aspects
side note : Would it be possible to have her join one of the Clans in the future? I am curious because she would possibly be an interesting warrior. Or, just be like old Cloudtail and shun StarClan XD

[blcokquote]Hm. I see no real issue with her joining the clans as former loners still make up a good bit of the population. And we have a smattering of 'abnormally' large/tall cats so I don't see her size being an issue either. As she'll be joining during a time when the clans are already settled though, it may be a tad difficult for her to find a leader willing to admit new cats. I recommend finding a warrior to vouch for her.
FogClan may be especially difficult when you factor in Volepelt's strict starclan-based regime, but you'd have to ask Rolo as she's Volepelt's player c:
AND LAST OF MY NON-CRIT RELATED RAMBLINGS BUT. I just want to throw all of my characters at her. |8 She's very interesting and I request demand a roleplay with Zahari.
I. [Lineage] Generation-wise she checks out (we allow savannah/wildcat crosses that are second generation or later) however, if all her grandsires/dams are African Servals, I'm not sure how her parents qualify as 'Savannah cats', seeing as Savannahs are hybrids, not merely domesticated servals. Easy fix and not too much of an issue. c:
II. [Personality] "She is a cat that holds strong silent authority but rarely ever employs it on others" ---> It might be better to say she has an air of quiet confidence, as unfortunately, nothing about her personality supports an authoritative nature. >>;
Since you've asked for the full crit, I'll also ask for a bit of expansion on the 'why' of her personality. Why is she so shy? Why is she self-conscious? Was she not socialized enough? Explore her motivations, reasonings, etc. if that makes sense. The 'what' you've given us though is very good. .3.
III. [history/personality link] "passive aggression causing her to tear off her collar during a fight with another cat" ----> Slightly confusing. To be passive aggressive is to indirectly confront someone, like say...leaving a note about a problem you have with a room-mate on a table instead of confronting the person about it. How is tearing off her collar passive aggressive? Or did you mean that it was torn off by accident during the fight?
Tweak those three things and you should be all set. : D Welcome to FoF btw! I look forward to seeing you on the boards.

I wouldn't mind having a thread with her and your characters in the future!
I. ...I just noticed how I worded it, now that you pointed it out haha. II. That does make more sense for her to be confident III. Okay this is where I should have elaborated more (and normally would have but my laptop was acting funny and made it difficult to keep the screen correct so I had to restart it). The fight had been the result of her anger with her kittypet family and the collar being torn off symbolizes that she wouldn't have been willing to do it herself alone.
haha so these are all pretty much slips of my mind XD
**These are hopefully fixed/explained far enough now.
