((I'm SORRRRRRRYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! College took over, but I swear to you I'm back now if you guys still want me to be here. =( ))
Whisper groaned as more cats poured in from the shadows of the forest. Why on earth couldn't they stay away? He wasn't exactly anything special to look at, and, from the looks of it, territory was becoming an issue. He was old enough to know that strays kept their place to themselves, and trespassers were not tolerated. It was strange then, he thought, that so many of them were in the same place. At home, these cats would be fighting to protect what was theirs, but they seemed cordial enough here.
Where am I?
Whisper looked up from his thoughts to see a silver tabby cat walking calmly toward the group. She held a certain amount of authority in her step, her face relaxed but stern. She stopped, firmly addressing the cats that had come from the other side of the stream, requiring them to leave immediately. To his surprise, they did so without argument wandering back into the forest and headed for...somewhere else.
Her voice turned toward him next and he bristled as his name was inquired of him, "I go by Whisper." He was surprised at the tenacity in his voice. Despite the worry and the fear in his heart, he spoke strongly, "Perhaps someone would mind telling me exactly what is going on? What is this 'Streamclan' everyone keeps talking about? Where are you planning on taking me?"
He pushed himself up gingerly on his front legs and winced slightly at the pain in his ribs, lowering himself back to the ground and sighing, "And how exactly did you plan on getting me there?" |
