20 moons (2nd moon of Leaf-Bare)

Warrior

MeadowClan
Beliefs |
Although she was a half-loner born cat, Toadnose has full beliefs in StarClan. She doesn't like the idea of cats ceasing to exist after death, and much rather prefers to think that all cats can be together after death before finally fading from memory.

Lionclaw (Father, deceased)
Hotch (Mother, deceased, NP)
Siblings |
Unknown
Mate |
None
Crush |
None

Apprentice/Mentor |
Brokenface (Deceased)
Appearance |
A dainty little she-cat with small paws, long legs, a stronger-than-most build, and a long, thick tail, Toadnose is well-suited for MeadowClan. She has pale, dusky brown fur, making it very easy for her to blend into her surroundings, with a white muzzle and a brown-grey nose. Her fur is thick and excellent for Leaf-Bare weather, but is a little insufferable in Green-Leaf. Also, along her back is a thin, grey-brown stripe that is only noticeable if she is crouched, or if one is looking down at her back. The warriors eyes are slightly slanted and a rich, olive green, much like the color of leaves.
Personality |
A whole lot of personality, Toadnose is a very sweet and sincere warrior, very good at reading body language. It doesn't take this she-cat long to make new friends, and she is able to tell if a cat is lying most of the time. She is, though, trusting to a fault, and can be gullible if she meets a cat great at lying, as with such easy friend-making skills, she'll pour her trust into any cat she meets.
Also, Toadnose has a terrible temper only if she is pushed. She becomes obnoxious, arrogant, and a spitfire, especially when she finds out if someone has lied to her or if her clan is mocked, because nobody crosses Toadnose and her beloved home.
Finally, she has a bad habit of holding grudges for long times; she has a very good memory, and would sooner get her revenge rather than forgive and forget. Why? Toadnose doesn't like to give her enemies, though few as there are, the satisfaction or being able to walk away unscathed and leave her with all the scars.
Right now, Toadnose can't pick a side in the MeadowClan divide. On one hand, it may just be coincidence that all the cats in higher-ranking positions are ForestClanners, but she does have slight suspicions, as that's a pretty long and uncanny coincidence.
Finally, this warrior is a bit of an eavesdropper. It's not that she wants to, it's just that if someone is talking, she's bound to listen in, whether she wants to listen or not.
(Just like me, I may add.)
Skills |
To say the least, Toadnose has very strong and very well-honed senses, and is easily one of the best trackers the clan has. She often lends Aldernose or Mottledpaw a helping paw when finding herbs, and is also one of the first cats approached to help find a good burrow to dig into. The smaller sized she-cat is also a poor fighter, and usually has to fight side-by-side another to drive off opponents, and is average at hunting. Most would say that she would also be a great hunter with her keen senses, but sensing the prey is only half the battle. One must also be able to catch the prey, which is where Toadnose falls short in her hunting skills. Also a great cat for coming up with strategies, she loves to give her opinion on battle motives or the best way to win a battle.
History |
Originally, Toadnose was born outside of the borders of the clan. Her mother, Hotch, died protecting her kits from a fox. Lionclaw, her father, and two other warriors were patrolling the border when they heard the shrieks of the queen, and made it in time to save the little light, dusky brown kit. It was suspected there were other kits as well, but they don't know what could have happened to them.
So there she was; a half-clanner, growing up in the grand MeadowClan. She suited the clan rather well, having her father's long legs, yet her mother's strong build.
It was just a moon before her apprenticeship that her father was killed, hit by a falling tree branch during a terribly windy New-Leaf storm. Since she was more than able to eat solid food and care for herself, she was left to care for herself. She didn't mind it all that much, the queens in the nursery all took an equal share in caring for her.
Her mentor was Brokenface, a tom with a terribly scarred face from fighting off a badger when he was just an apprentice. He taught her that tracking was one of the most important skills, recognizing that she had a very good set of senses that she could easily use to her advantage during hunts or fights, and that focusing mostly on that would help develop her other skills.
Of course, that plan sort-of backfired. True, she did learn to use her skills to her advantage, but she only has average hunting skills and poor fighting skills.
She therefore earned the name of Toadnose for her tracking. Her warrior-ship has been rather normal, although the mounting tensions between ForestClan born cats and outsider born cats has mounted higher and higher, taking a neutral stance.
