{Hazel}
She shrugged. It had certainly made her feel better to let it out, but it also made her feel a bit weak. Hazel worked hard to keep up a front of being shatterproof. Letting someone in so easily was hard. "I guess." She purred. At least she had picked a good cat to be vulnerable to; Clyde didn't he seem to have a judging bone in his body. Hazel stretched, fur finally starting to feel dry. "Do you have any real plans on where you're going?" Hazel asked, suddenly feeling a twinge of fear that she might lose her new found friend. He could be a good addition to her and Mint's group. A trio sounded nicer than a duo.

"Do you have any real plans on where you're going?" He smiled at the question. Did it look like it to her? "Nawww. I'm just wanderun around." his accent practically massacering the word 'wandering' it be a surprise if she could understand what he said at all. "You got any idea where yur goin?" Clyde asked, giving his tail a lackadaisical wish. Maybe they could wander together, wouldn't that be great. Being the extrovert he was traveling alone wasn't his idea of fun.

Hazel grinned at Clyde's accent; it was just one of the things about him that was growing on her. "You got any idea where yur goin?" She shook her head. "I've never really had a plan. We wandered the streets for a long time, but it was really dangerous. We only found the woods about a quarter moon ago. Seemed like perfection in comparison; more food, less cats." Well, not entirely true. Hazel hadn't seen any other cats, but she could sure smell them. Many cat's lingered on the air, but where were they? "Then again, I don't think we're totally alone."

He nodded, giving the appearance he was listening intently, and he was. Clyde did just as much listening as he did talking and that was quiet a lot. Besides Hazel seemed interesting enough, not to note 'im to death. She seemed like his kind of cat honestly. Maybe she was a little hard in herself from time to time... or at least that was the impression he got. But hey every cat has flaws.
"We definately ain't alone." His nose shriveled up in mock disgust. Not all of the cats out in the woods smelt too good. Clyde didn't mind too much though, besides no one had given him any trouble yet. "Does that bother you?" he asked, curious about what was going on inside her head.

The brown she-cat shrugged, turning back to look at Clyde. "Other cats usually means trouble to me. I had a run in with a group of them shortly after we got here; going on about a 'clan' or something. Kinda rude, but nothing like alley cats." Her mind drifted back, remembering their explanation of what exactly a clan was. The idea of a large group of cats living together, taking care of each other, and defending each other intrigued her. Many times Hazel thought about what would happen when she grew old. How would she survive? It rattled her to think about. "There's strength in numbers." Hazel murmured, thinking to herself out loud. This 'clan' didn't sound like a bad idea to her at all; but something told her that they weren't into recruits. Even so, her own group felt stronger at the thought of adding Clyde.

Poor girl, the idea of someone hasslun her after all she's been through was quiet upsettun. Hazel needed a home just like any other cat and as far as he could tell there was a enough room for everyone. "Sorry 'bout that sweetie." Clyde said, not that he had a reason too. It was just in his nature to be polite maybe overly so at times.
"If there's strangth in numbers why are ya all alone?" He asked curiously. Not that her bein alone was going to be much a problem anymore. Clyde intended to stick with her. Clyde needed company and she seemed a lil' lonely herself. "I mean that can't be too safe can it?" Sure he'd been alone but that was different, he'd known what he was doin'. Hazel had been thrown out into the wild by tragedy. Poor girl needed someone to protect her.

"Never found anyone worth joining, and we managed okay on our own. I do most of the hunting and Mint is the healer. Knows everything there is to know about medicine, as far as I know, anyways. He'd always patch me up." She grinned at the last part, remembering Mint's hissing the last time she wouldn't sit still while he worked. Normally very even-tempered, her brother hated being interrupted by a fidgeting cat. Hazel couldn't complain, he always did a good job. "But no, it isn't all that safe. If something happened to him, I don't know who would take care of me. Without me, I don't think he'd last long either." She shuddered at the thought; she would always be there to protect him. "Another cat would certainly add security to the group."

"Never found anyone worth joining."Makes enuff sense. he thought to himself in approval. After all it wasn't safe to let just anyone join your group either. Mint?, so she wasn't alone. "Uh emm." Clyde coughed softly, trying to interrupt without being rude. "Who's Mint, if ya don't mind me askin'?" Maybe it was her mate or maybe not. Whoever he was, Clyde sure'd like to meet 'im. To be honest the mention of another cat had upset the tom, he was currently feeling a mixture of jealousy and disappointment. He'd thought Hazel had been truly alone. That they'd team up... just the two of them, together. Don't be silly. he reminded himself, he had no right to be upset. After all he'd just met Hazel, it was his fault he was upset. Just as usual he'd gotten ahead of himself.
"Another cat would certainly add security to the group." Oh boy! Clyde perked up, this was his chance. Sure he didn't have too many skills but he was a quick learner. "I could join if ya like." his voice sounding just a little too eager. It was just he'd been alone for so long and he'd never really had any friends besides his housefolk. This was a chance to start over new.
