Setting
FogClan is a typical forest clan. The whole territory is covered in deep, heavy forest and plenty of undergrowth. The trees are extremely tall, blocking out a lot of the sunlight. In the morning a thick layer of fog covers the ground, but without the full strength of the sun, it does not burn away until sunhigh at best. The fog makes it hard to hunt early, so a lot of cats spend the morning training or reinforcing their camp. Luckily, the fog does not form during Leaf-Bare for some reason, so they are not put at a disadvantage when the season hits.
Oak trees are most common in FogClan. The sturdy trunks make for excellent climbing practice, and more than one of the cats has realized the scouting potential. It's become common to see a FogClan cat up in a tree, keeping watch while the rest of the patrol explores nearby. As well as oak trees, holly bushes can normally be found littering the ground portion of FogClan.
The FogClan camp is settled between a heavy mix of trees. The leader's den is under the pulled up roots of a tree, an old badger hollow was dug under the tree which is where the leader rest. Warriors stay in a thick bramble bush to the right of the leader's den. The nursery is right next to the Warriors Den, making it easy to defend. Apprentices rest in a fallen tree filled with moss. The medicine cat den is a bush placed right next to a rock. The rock has cracks to hold herbs and supplies, sick cats nest in moss beds under the bush, and medicine cat and medicine cat apprentice rest in a smaller bush right next to the den. Elders make their den under a fallen tree that has bushes growing over and around it.
When it comes to prey FogClan generally relies on small rodents such as mice or voles. With their being very little open space, rabbits are a rare thing to find and bird can only be caught in trees. But very few cats risk hunting in the tree. The river cuts through a small portion of their territory, allowing them to try their hand at fishing. While not as good as StreamClan cats, FogClan can manage well enough for hunting.
The Cats
Due to the tougher hunting in FogClan, many of the cats are skilled in hunting. Their back legs are stronger, making it easier to jump and climb. They also tend to be a bit large than a lot of the other cats, which comes in handy during battle. Their fur is almost always short and most of them happen to be tabbies, simply because of the cats who chose to join FogClan and their offspring.
FogClan cats tend be slightly darker in personality. They're not afraid to start an argument just for the sake of arguing. And they rarely chat with other clans for the sake of chatting. Especially PineClan. FogClan has a strong belief in StarClan simply because the idea of an afterlife appealed to them. Because of this they see PineClan as a personal offense and would not turn down the opportunity to attack PineClan. But the lingering thought that they might lose members of their clan keeps them from going to war.
