Name | Patchfur
Gender | she-cat
Age | twenty moons
Rank | warrior
Clan | Meadow
Beliefs | Patchfur believes in Starclan, and that they have answers to some questions no mortal cat can answer. She's not a fanatic, but she believes. No matter how loosely her life ties in with Starclan, Patchfur has decided Starclan exists, for where else would a cat go when they passed? She believes only one eccentric thing; that birds are messengers from Starclan, and their indecipherable chirps are the answers to all the unanswered questions.
Parents | Rabbitfoot, father, NP | Brightfur, mother, NP
Siblings | Dirtclaw, brother, NP | Sandwhisker, sister, NP | Voletooth, brother, NP
Other Kin | none available.
Mate | not yet.
Crush | not yet.
Kits | not yet.
Apprentice/Mentor | not yet.
Appearance | Patchfur is an average cat. Her build isn't anymore so unique than the -fur in her name. She's a calico, with black covering her right ear and orange dominating her left. There is a line of white from the inner corner of her eye and down her face, connecting with a white throat and belly. White also tickles the toes of her paws, and the very tip of her tail.
Patchfur has a delicate but quick step, which makes her very suited to hunting rabbits. Her long whiskers aid her in the night, and she's often sent on the sun-up hunting patrols or found hunting by herself in the middle of the night.
While the calico she-cat prefers to hunt, she's not a terrible fighter. In fact, she's pretty good at it, and is just a little better than decent, though you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at her. The only scar that mars her pretty features is a faint line across her little pink nose. Any other scar she might have is hidden by the dark and colourful fur.
Personality | Patchfur is a very simplistic cat. She does what she's told, when she's told, no matter what. While she has morals, when she is given a command, she does not voice or act upon the morals unless they are extreme orders, such as killing or stealing other cats with no probable cause. She's loyal to Meadowclan and Starclan, and doesn't ever question the rules of society. She never associates herself with other clan cats unless she has to, and even then doesn't bother to understand their way of thinking (it's probably too much for her little brain). When speaking to cats of power, she is shy, and keeps any ideas she might have to herself for fear of being laughed at. All Patchfur wants to do is lead a normal life, to fight for her clan, to provide for them, and to find a mate and have kits. She has no ambition to be known in the clan, nor to be any kind of authority figure other than that as a mother over her kits.
Patchfur is the type of cat who doesn't need to constantly be around others to function. She is completely fine going off by herself and being alone with her carefree, simple-minded thoughts. The larger the group of cats she has to talk to, the quieter she'll get and the less she'll talk. When she talks one on one with another cat, she can be animated, with tons of expressions and words. If Patchfur gets really into a story, she can come across as hyper to those who don't know her, for she is truly a very calm she-cat. When she gets excited, she's able to handle more cats at a time, rather than just one or two before she's out of her comfort zone.
Patchfur prefers to stick with what she knows. It's what she's comfortable with, what she's familiar with. Sudden changes are just too much for her, and mess with her brain. It takes her a little bit before she grasps the concept of the of the change, and when it's not gradually introduced to her, it can be too much for her and make her start to freak out. She flows easily into the new swing of things when a change is slowly made, and takes to it like a fish takes to water. After a few moons, that's how it's always been, in her mind.
She tends to act as a peacemaker between friends, because she judges everyone equally and refuses to pick sides. She's well liked in her circle of friends because she's agreeable and does whatever they want to do. She makes a great wing man to cats if you ask her to help, and one of her favourite "missions" is trying to be a matchmaker.
Skills | Patchfur can make an excellent hunter, though she refuses to catch or eat birds because she believes they might carry messages from Starclan. Her fighting is up to par, though she doesn't have many scars, but she's rather quick and uses this to her advantage in battle, bouncing around and either confusing or making her opponent dizzy before knocking them off their feet. She isn't the strongest cat, so she can't overpower them with brute strength. All she has to do is distract them so they will be vulnerable.
History | Being a simple cat, she has a simple history. She was raised as a kit to be respectable, polite, and obedient. She learned that she must never challenge orders and that she should always follow them to the best of her abilities. As Patchfur was growing up, she had always been smaller than the other kits, and ended up in the medicine cats' den a lot because the other kits played too rough and she got all scratched up. Her parents taught her that at these times she must not cry and show weakness, because if she does than she'll be the first one the enemy goes for in battle. She only ventured out of the camp once, and she nearly lost her life for it. The young kit had ended up running into a badger, and if it weren't for a passing patrol, would have easily been crushed by the larger animal. The patrol was from one of the neighboring clans, and she was lucky they were fair. They tidied her up (she was absolutely covered with mud) and had a good ole jolly walk home (in her mind. actually, they were silent. she was the one talking her head off and annoying them) and the nice warriors returned her to her clan. Her parents scolded her very much, and never again did she go where she was told to never go and always followed orders about whether she should stay in camp or go into the woods.
