Located where the boundaries of all four clans meet, the clearing of the Gathering is a place of peace. Even PineClan upholds the StarClan-sanctioned truce, though this is more from common sense than a belief in the starry ancestors. A mixture of oaks and pines surrounds the clearing, and a small, clear stream runs through the middle to join the large river that runs across all the territories of the clans. The circle of trees is broken by the body of a large oak, felled in a storm long before the cats of ForestClan settled in the surrounding area. The oak still retains its glory in that it is still the widest and oldest of the trees present, though its extremities have started to decompose and sink into the ground. The clan leaders choose this as their vantage point for sharing news of their clans, and increasingly, keeping an eye on the building tension between those clans.
