If you are putting a cat up for adoption, please specify the cat, the clan, and adoption in the title.
ex.
"Falconclaw -- streamclan [adoption]"
There are three circumstances for a person to adopt a cat from another.
The first and most common:
Kits. When a queen has more than two kits, the player must put the extra ones for adoption. The player choses name and gender, but the adopter may make up looks, personality, etc. Now, if the kit is named Graykit, don't make it an orange tabby. Make it match. It can be all gray, mostly gray, a gray tabby, you name it.
Leaving. If you are leaving the site, you can make a topic where people can apply for all your cats. You can manage this however you want, hanging around to see they get the right player or just letting the member declare the cat is theirs. Whatever you want.
Too many cats. If someone feels they have one cat too many, but can't kill one off, they can put it up here. If no one adopts in two weeks, they have to keep the cat.
ELDERS CANNOT GO UP FOR ADOPTION. if you no longer want to play your elder, please have it die nicely. c:
If you have a cat you no longer want to play, I would suggest putting it up for adoption before killing it. It's a lot cleaner-- especially if your cat has a mate and kits. Unless you and the other mate's player have decided that's what you want to happen.
