Rules:
In addition to the warrior code, Volepelt has created an additional set of rules which he calls 'The Extended warrior code'. These rules are there to ensure Fogclan is kept faithful and strong. These rules are mostly in character, and so you will see the Council members citing it heavily. Whether your cat follows these rules are entirely up to you! Council members are likely to follow them, however.
What if you make your own rules and pass them off as the extended code to abuse others? Volepelt doesn't care. As long as the clan is kept in order, he will not pick apart the behaviour of any warrior.
General:
~Respect and obedience is expected to be exhibited towards all ranks higher than your own.
~Any order from a higher-up is to be obeyed and carried out immediately, regardless of prior engagements. The needs of the clan come before personal desires.
~Friendly interaction with Pineclan is not permitted.
Clan running:
~Hunting parties are sent out three times a day for more proficiency; Dawn, Sun-High, and Dusk. (You may use this as an idea for a thread, but the admins will not organise these for you!)
~Any shirking of duty will be found out and punished.
~You should not ever claim you have spare time. If you find yourself idol, find something constructive to do. You may be punished if you are found lazing about.
Apprentices
~Apprentices will no longer have special status. They will be expected to work for their respect, and will be seen as the lower than kits in the social heirarchy.
~Apprentices are the most unpure members of the clan. They do not have the ignorance of kits nor the full knowledge of Starclan as a warrior would. The increased pressure will help them to strive towards greatness.
~Apprentices may be physically punished by any warrior if they are found to be breaking the rules. Mentors, however, will give out most of the punishment and reinstruction.
~Apprentices eat last or not at all if there is a lack of prey. It builds character and motivation.
~Any sign of rebellion will be found out and punished properly.
~Longer training will be required for any and all apprentices to become a fully fledged warrior. Expect them to be an apprentice until they are 14 moons old, at least.
~The “Faith Test” will be the final test to see if an apprentice can become a warrior. If the apprentice does not pass, they must retake the test after learning the basics of training once more. This will not be roleplayed out. It is carried out by the mentor and you can just report in your post that they passed the faith test.
~Warriors may be demoted to apprentices if it becomes apparent that they lack belief in Starclan, respect or if they prove themselves not to have proper warrior skills
Mentors
~Mentors will have more responsibility towards their apprentices, and will be subjected to punishment as equally. They will be expected to know the clan rules and to give lessons in faith in Starclan.
~Mentors are expected to teach their apprentice about Starclan as well as teaching them warrior skills.
~Mentors will be expected to report any misbehaviour to a council member/Volepelt so their apprentices can be fully punished.
Kits
~Kits are not to leave the nursery under any circumstances until the day they reach 6 moons.
~At 6 moons, they will be apprenticed immediately and given a tour of the camp.
~Kits will not be subjected to those of the outside world; merely the mother and leader.
~Kits will not be taught the love of Starclan until they become apprentices. Innocence is the first step towards purity.
Medicine cats:
~Medicine cats must be respected by ordinary clan members, but the medicine cats are lower down than council members.
~They may not treat Sinwounds (wounds gained from physical punishment) under any circumstances. Anything that happens as result of a sinwound is Starclan's will.
Punishments: (May also change at any time)
~After being punished for a sin, the sin will be forgotten and cats are not allowed to mention it again. This rule is broken a lot.
Public confession: Every few days, a Public Confession Meeting will be held. Any cat who has sinned must then stand below Talking Cliff and tell the clan of all them and how they will improve. They must ask for forgiveness from Starclan and the clan and promise to improve. This is a form of mortification, and the clan members may well jibe and mock those who confess until they have been forgiven, at which point the clan are not allowed to speak of their sins again. These are now less common.
Mild Physical punishment: If a cat has committed a mild sin, such as eating while hunting or being insolent towards council members, they may need a small scratch or ear nick to put them in their place. These may be done by any cat of warrior rank or higher. The wounds earned are not allowed to be treated by a medicine cat.
Moderate Physical punishment: If a cat has committed a large sin, particularly one related to spreading unrest, tainting apprentices with unpure thoughts or just generally being blasphemous, they may earn this punishment. This may only be carried out by the council or Volepelt. The amount of wounds earned should be correlational to the size of the sin. The wounds given should not endanger the cat's life. The sinwounds are not allowed to be treated by the medicine cat.
OOC stuff:
- Council cat players may join any rp in Camp without roleplayer's permission to act as a council member (i.e. tell cats off) but only within reason. Please do not do this to private rps which are obvious character development threads.
- Members have permission to PM the council cat owner to get them to delete their post if it is killing off the roleplay.
- If your cat is blatantly breaking the rules in Camp, likelihood is the council member will come to get you, it's only realistic XD
- If you know your cats are going to break the rules, talk about non-belief or against Volepelt, it's HIGHLY suggested that you do this rp outside camp, as they would if this were happening in real life.
- You may request for a council member to come and interrupt your threads /anywhere/ within the FC boundaries. PM their owners.
