Name Mothkit Mothpaw Gender Tom Age 9 moons Rank Apprentice Clan Streamclan Beliefs Does Starclan exist? Sure, why not. Some sort of belief beyond the cats that exist around Mothpaw would be nice. But these starry cats in the sky, they can't do very much. Sure they exist, and sure Mothpaw prays to them sometimes, but they can't send omens. They surely can't control the whether. Maybe they know what the future holds, maybe they don't. It's possible they're simply cats of the past that live out their spiritual lives in a clan called Starclan, and they have no interaction with the cats on earth. Mothpaw's beliefs as far as Starclan goes is subject to change. At nine moons old, there is still much he is learning. Maybe he'll find Starclan is more than he originally thought.
Pineclan is free to believe what they like. That's what all the other cats do, after all. Everyone knows Fogclan puts the most amount of belief in Starclan, so it shouldn't be so wrong for Pineclan to have virtually zero belief of the space cats. Really, the Fogclan cats can't prove that Starclan exists, and Pineclan can't prove that they don't. It wouldn't be an issue if everyone just accepted everyone else.
If there is such thing as Starclan, there must be something like the Dark Forest. It would only make sense, wouldn't it? But then, if there is no Starclan there likely is no Dark Forest. But it doesn't matter if there is or not, because the Dark Forest seems not to affect Mothpaw's life. It's not like these Dark cats are speaking to the earth cat's, so it matters not what anybody believes in this topic. Parents Spiderstorm, mother [np] Ottertail, father [np] Siblings Batpaw, sister [dc] {Needs to be adopted still} Dovepaw, adoptive sister [dc] {Ember} Stonepaw, adoptive brother [dc] {Ember} Other Kin None Mate None Crush DovepawKits None Apprentice/Mentor In need AppearanceLike many of the Streamclan cats, Mothpaw is long, with muscles compacted beneath the surface of his fur. He's not especially broad, but he's full enough not to appear lanky or scrawny. The best word to describe his stature would most definitely be lean. His overall size is not far from most other cats, and most would call him an average height. Mothpaw doesn't really care about his size all that much, so long as the other cats don't look at him as being weak or any type of freak. Although he has found that he can squeeze into skinny places, without the stocky bulk of a few other cats. He has a round, stout face, with ears slightly on the smaller side.
The tom has short coarse fur that fluffs up slightly in leafbare due to a light cream undercoat, which does shed come newleaf. Many shades and intensities of browns fill the apprentice's coat. From a very light cream on his chest down to a dark burnt umber along his spine. The under part of the young cat's muzzle appears white, and fades into a cream on his chest and underbelly. That same shade of cream also appears as an outline around his eyes, and fades into it at his paws. The base color of Mothpaw could be considered the grayish brown that coats the majority of his body when not covered by dark stripes and spots. His fur looks redder and more intense near his nose and on his legs down by his paws.
Mothpaw has short, white whiskers that are stiff enough that they droop very minimally. A cat is much more likely to notice his extremely peculiar eyes. One might want to call them Hazel, which the majority of the iris is, however they are brown towards the pupil, and green towards the whites. Part of them looks sharp and piercing, while the brown makes it appear soothing. This makes for difficult reading of emotions in his eyes, which is why those who know him well look straight to his ears. Highly set is good. If offset, or pinned back, there is some caution required, though Mothpaw wouldn't hurt a.... well, a moth. Personality Mothpaw is an easygoing cat, despite his extreme moodiness. For the most part, he goes with the flow, doesn't care much for anything that's not happening right the very instant. After all, why bother fretting over the fact that he'll die someday, when he's not dead yet? He's thoughtful, kind, but on the slightly solitary side, making him seem a little distant at times. Don't be fooled by it though, because his solitude is simply his process of thought, when being disturbed can push him slightly over the edge. When he wants to be alone, there are very few that can get away with comforting him, others are advised to steer clear.
Because he's extremely eager to please, he won't snap at anyone, but he'll frustratedly ask them to go away if he's not in the mood to talk. If a cat does manage to get their word in, he'll likely listen. He might even take it to heart, as he's fairly open minded. Be careful though, because if the wrong thing is said, Mothpaw will get frustrated and storm away to be alone. He's very moody, so the slightest thing can tip him over. One upset cat will make him go from happy, to angry or depressed.
Being so eager to please, Mothpaw is a very large suck up. He doesn't seek to be a show off, but he searches for approval constantly. That's all he ever wants is for his superior to look down proudly upon him. Most don't realize just how much he wants to please others. He would go to almost any measure, even death, to make the leader and his mentor proud of him. This makes him very easily swayed, and joking about what his tasks are is not enjoyed. If he's told sarcastically that today's training lesson is how to roll on the ground, he expects that's what to do, so he'll actually attempt it before realizing the sarcasm.
Overall, Mothpaw's fairly well rounded and kind, though distant and moody. The biggest thing driving Mothpaw forward is his eagerness to please. So he needs reasonable expectations, so as not to kill himself. Skills Being so eager to please, Mothpaw has a difficult time causing harm on others. He's fully willing to do so to an enemy, but having to train against his own clan and mentor sets him back. Because of this, his fighting skills aren't quite as sharp as he'd like. Considering he scurries off to loneliness at times, he's fine tuned his hunting skills to something to be proud of.
Aside from hunting and fighting, Mothpaw is, as easily imagined, an extremely good follower. His leadership skills are non-existent, but he'll do as anyone instructs him.
