This place can seem a little confusing, at first, but hear me out and I promise it'll become understandable XD
This place is for the inactive cats who have been accepted. This is not for dead cats within the rp, but ones that aren't being used.
This place has 2 functions:
Function one - Applications of cats not seen for a long time, or whose owner hasn't been active, get moved here. This process is only of importance to admins. Members play no part in it because, if you are here, irregardless of how much your cats are used all of them will remain "active". The reason why we'll do this is so we can keep track of what cats are actually about, who to use for gatherings AND so we can keep the cat count accurate.
Function two - This is of concern to members. This is a complicated sounding procedure so I'll walk you through it. It's a completely new idea.
When you are an active member here, we automatically take your cats to be "active". We guess that you will want to use them, so we keep them in accepted cats. However, sometimes you will not want to roleplay a certain cat at present, for whatever reason. This is quite a troubling issue... you don't want to give your cat away, but you don't want them to be called up for gatherings and other events.
E.g.
I have a cat called Molewhisker. I love his character basics but I want to rework him later, however I do not want to play him at all right now. I do not want to give him away.
This subforum is designed to be a kind of "grabpot". If you do not want to play a cat at present and you don't want to give them away, you can ask a staff member to move them here. In this place, your cat will remain completely safe and people cannot ask to adopt them. They remain frozen in time so they will not age.
Why is this of benefit? I shall list some assets:
- You may keep your cats safe and ready to rp later when you feel like playing them.
- You can act as if the cat does not exist (although they DO go towards your cat count)
- You can put cats you don't like right now but want to rework at a later date here.
- This place is safe. Other members may NOT ask to adopt your cats if you have asked to put them here. Inactive member cats are subject to adoption, unless you have asked for them not to be.
- If you love your character(s) too much to delete or adopt them out, you can put them here.
You may withdraw your cat at any time. You can ask them to be put back into applications if you wish to change them (be warned, you must go through the full acception proceedure again!) or back into accepted cats. You may then play them as if they were never inactive ;P.
When do I ask to put my cat into this subforum?
- When you do not know whether to keep them, adopt them out or delete them.
- When you don't want to rp them for a few months. Please don't put them in here if you only intend not to rp them for a few days XD
- When you are going away or are going to be inactive for a while, you may ask to put them in here so they are safe from the automatic adoption proceedure.
You may also specify to staff whether, if you were to suddenly leave here without notice for a long time, you would like your cats to come here or to be subject to adoption ;P That way you won't lose your babies if you dissapoof for ages.
