 Hey Guys  I hope you're all doing fine with school/college/work! I'm guessing that virtually all of you are back there now, and no doubt you're having to get used to the increased workload again. Naturally, FoF is at it's quietest at this time of the year, but don't any of you stress too much about not being able to get on/participate so much  FoF is there to be a pleasure and a hobby, not a burden. Feel free to join back in once you've got back into the swing of things!However, if you're gonna be absent for a considerable amount of time, we'd appreciate it if you left us a post telling us about your predicaments Activity Check Since it's been a while since the site opened, and the staff need to know who is still interested in participating after summer, we now have a new Activity check up! OTMs Pyro is still working on the OTM graphics to put up on the site, but since they're all decided, I thought this announcement would be the perfect place to publish them Please give your congratulations to the first OTMs of v2:Member of the Month goes to Ember for her brilliant and persistent activity on FoF, and her progress in roleplaying and bio making. Congratulations It is well deserved.Amber gets Most Improved this month for her astonishing amount of improvement in bio making, and, in doing so, proving that even the staff are aiming to better themselves. Cat of the Month goes to Russetstorm by Fixate! Although new to the site, Fixate has made a huge splash, and Russetstorm is a well-built character that intrigues and interacts interestingly. Well done Fixate Thread of the month... you'll have to wait and see about that one, the admins are still undecided! Streamclan Rankings The Rankings for Streamclan have now all been chosen. Congratulations to Jaegerstar (Pyro) and Shadowclaw (Ember) for their respective leader and deputy positions! If you didn't know already, Amber also got Cinderpaw, medicine cat apprentice! Those observant among you would have noticed that this now means that Pyro has now got 3 rankings, which is over the all-member limit of 2, and that she has 2 rankings in one clan. However, this will not be the case for long. Don't worry, the staff aren't exempt from the rules, and we are working to fix this Aspenheart, deputy of Pineclan, will now be up publically for adoption, for any member to adopt (not just staff, all rankings are open to every member!). Storkflower will also, at some point in the future, be moving to Pineclan to prevent the dual-ranking problem. Streamclan and Pineclan event! We're aware that not everyone has the time to plan out any complex plots at the moment, nor the time to upkeep a private thread, so we have come up with a solution! In the next few days, we will be launching our first ever Flash event! A flash event is a mini-plot which is triggered with minimal planning and then allowed to run it's course. It has no rules, no guidelines, no set path and, most importantly, no limit on joinees! This will be a single thread that SC and PC cats may leap in and out of at will, and is designed for anyone with the desire to roleplay to do so immediately and quickly! However, to launch this, we are in need of some instigators. We need some Streamclan cats who are of a less than calm manner and who, forever reason, think it's a good idea to steal prey from Pineclan. Motives can be whatever you deem fit, but it has to be planned (on the spot, before the patrol) and not accidental. If you think you have the ideal cat, please PM Rolo :3 Remember, you don't have to stay in the thread til the end, just launch it for others :3 Hardy's resignation In other news, with great sadness the staff will be saying goodbye to Hardy. Hardy has been a long-standing staff member for a long time, but she now thinks it's time to hand in her ban-hammer and become a regular member again, due to lack of time. She'll be missed greatly, but the staff respect her decision and wish her luck with whatever she does in future. But don't you all start saying your goodbyes yet, Hardy will be sticking around for now, just as an ordinary member :3 Rolo's decreased activity Tomorrow, Rolo returns to University to a new house, with new housemates and a new year of work. Recently she's been about an awful lot, and has had the opportunity to go to bed at inhuman times. Unfortunately, with the move back (and early lectures – eww!), Rolo will be about a lot less and will probably not be around when the rest of you are. Until she's settled, she's likely to be very patchy and things will be slower round here. At the moment, she doesn't even know if the internet will be available in her room, which may disrupt things considerably. However, once she has settled, things will continue as normal. Skin Skin? SKIN?! What skin? Rolo and Pyro are working on a new skin for FoF, with entirely fresh coding and a new look (but still in-keeping with the style of previous skins). A revamp, pretty much. It's taking a while, but I wanted to give you a heads up that a new, quite cool skin is in the works ;P Just in case you thought we'd forgotten!  |
