although the bloodlust already in him has been dampened down some since shinjūrō's entrance in his life, inga still holds some degree of it. having originally been used as a mindless weapon by the hindwalkers, it's hard for him to forget the duties that he had to fulfill while he lived the demonic life of the warrior. as they say, "old habits die hard". eventually, inga gained his own sense of justice - evil? you die.
"the butterflies...they're talking."
while he was held in captivity by the hindwalkers, inga never could talk with anyone - being one of the strongest of his age group, it was thought that communication would soften him. all that ever came in were swallowtail butterflies; they were all sorts of colours. after seeing them appear and then disappear for so long, inga couldn't help but vent his feelings to them. somehow, the young tom began believing that spirits of the dead existed within all kinds of the beautiful insects, not just the swallowtails, and ever since, has revered them. after a few moons, inga began believing that the butterflies could and were conversing with him.

being a young cat, inga is considerably small, but not so small to be compared to a kitten. his fur is mostly covered in white hairs, with the exception of the back paws, the tips of the ears, the chest and the tip of the tail, which are dressed in black. having been trained vigorously for moons on end, inga looks a tad more muscular than he should and has battle scars that shouldn't exist on such a young tom-cat. the ear on the right was torn to the middle since one of his early fights and, quite ironically, he happened to be deaf in that one ear. during the strike, inga's right eye was also slashed, causing it to be slightly more narrowed than his opposite; as is a common characteristic of deaf/slightly deaf cats, the eye is of a baby blue. as he is only deaf in the right, inga's left eye is of a piercing amber. it's been noticed from time to time that some of the younger felines tend to try to avoid eye contact with the tom due to the thought that he was 'looking through their soul'. inga's never paid too much attention to that fact, though and just acts as he usually does.

meeting shinjūrō really changed inga's personality for the better. whether it was because of his new freedom or whether it was because he had a friend that wasn't a butterfly or whether it was just the 'deal' that shinjūrō and inga made, something seemed to click inside the tom's head which caused him to change his ways as best he could. both shinjūrō and inga know that his old habits will come back to haunt him eventually, but inga always preferred to look at what was right in front of them, than thinking about an inevitable future that would weigh them down.
"許し合うために たどってく We agree that it's alright to continue on."
the newer inga has more child-like qualities about him. although that might not be for the best in some cases, at least it makes him a lot easier to handle. he tends to seem a little naïve at times; he takes things at face value for most of the time - especially proverbs. if inga heard someone say that they had just 'killed two birds with one stone', he would've taken it literally if no one explained it to him. this sometimes gives others the impression that inga is rather dull and stupid, but, in reality, it isn't the case, at all. even if inga isn't the brightest star in the sky, there have been a few times that inga has made some well-deduced reasonings just from knowing a few facts.
it seems almost like destiny that a 'detective' like shinjūrō should meet someone like inga, doesn't it?
of course, when they're not trying to figure out a mystery and dig up someone's lies, inga just seems like your average bubbly child. even though inga was trained to battle and rarely had a moment to rest, he seems to have a rather carefree look on life. the tom takes absolutely everything in his stride and never seems to linger on anything bad that's happened for too long. if it slows them down, what's the whole point in thinking about it? inga seems to have made a very affectionate relationship with shinjūrō and tends to call him, 'the last great detective' in the thought that no one has such great deductive abilities as shinjūrō. inga is incredibly loyal to shinjūrō and will carry out anything asked of him, no matter the consequences.
inga seems to have bounds of energy and always seems to make things look a lot more positive than they really are. the stamina gained from days of training probably made inga more energetic than he should've been.
originally, inga never really paid much attention to 'hidden truths' and 'mysteries', but ever since meeting shinjūrō and taking part in his many investigations, the young adult began feeling something inside of him. ever since inga's interest in mysteries arose, whenever the two of them got close to finding out the truth, he always seemed to get overly-excited and some of the child-like qualities that he usually had dissipated until the truth was solved.
"Looking for 手を伸ばして Looking for the extended hand,"
but, as soon as inga reverts back to his old ways, not a speck of that happy, bubbly child exists any longer. all that stands there is a monster - a mindless weapon there to kill. in fact, it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to say that inga literally becomes the devil himself. senselessly attacking those which he has been ordered to attack along with those who threaten his life without mercy, it is almost impossible for anyone to stop him without physically touching him. it has been suspected that shinjūrō is the only one who will be able to get throught to the tom, should the time ever come that even inga himself can't control his actions. rarely does inga have to fight, being a loner, but there has been some territory scraps here and there between them and some rogues. what happened to the rogues, you ask?
use your imagination.
"よせあう 波のように like an approaching wave." - - - > s k i l l s
inga's best skill has to be his skill in battling. the reasons are - as mentioned before - simply because he literally lived to battle. that was the most he had done before meeting shinjūrō. although inga doesn't have the stealth of a hunter (in fact, inga is terrible at hunting any sort of prey due to that), the speed at which he can circle an enemy is certainly worth noting. in fact, the technique he uses while battling lets him do it with ease. you might notice that most cats simply tend to jump or run, but inga sticks with a sliding and gliding type of movement and he always makes sure to move: it keeps him alert and ready to dodge at any time - he always lifts his heel up and down, while making sure to use the toes of his paws for balance. this style of movement makes using the flips and feints that he was 'taught' a lot more easy to execute.
apart from his fighting abilities, though, inga is also quite good at jumping to high places and climbing up things that he can dig his claws into. ...he's good at eating, too. give him a horse and he'll probably shove it in his gob - or, well, it might be exaggerated a little, but you get the point.
"Looking for ミツケテ Looking for, found it, - - - > h i s t o r y
inga never had a life before 'the institute', as the training facility was often dubbed; his parents had been a part of the breeding project at the time. after all, the hindwalkers would need some more 'little soldiers' at some point and constantly buying off of people would waste the money that they had earned. the first thing that he saw and felt were metal walls and metal tiles - when he had opened his eyes, he had been taken away from his mother and father. all he ever remembered were the name of his parents - richter and lazuli - and their voices singing to him and telling him stories that he couldn't understand.
after being taken away from his parents, inga was never re-introduced to them again. the reason? it was the division that he was placed in. apparently, the hindwalkers had believed that the kitten held major potential for the future, so he was immediately placed into the battling division. although they had to take care of the kitten until it was ready to survive by itself, the staff made sure to keep the tom well away from any of the other felines. they believed that any type of socialization would soften inga before his training began.
one thing that inga had heard his parents talking about before being taken away was something about a brother. inga? a brother? of course. although inga had never met him, ungo had been slotted into the battling division, as well. it didn't matter that ungo never had the potential of his younger brother, but the fact that there was a chance that he would be battling him wasn't a beautiful thought. inga never knew what his brother looked like - only his name and ungo only knew that he had a younger brother, he didn't even know inga's name. whether it was deliberately avoided, or just happened by luck, the two never engaged in combat.
"ここで よりそうように so we can cuddle close in here."
time passed and at four moons old, inga began his rigorous training. despite how young the kitten still was, the hindwalkers didn't hold back and continued to use the same regime as all the other cats who were in the battling division. in a way, though, inga hadn't gained the short end of the stick. battling for survival was a lot better than suffering during experiments, in his opinion.
after starting the training course, though, nothing worth noting really happened to inga until his eighth moon. as said before, inga has the strange belief that souls exist within butterflies - it was during inga's eighth moon that he began believing in that statement. the first butterfly flew in, then another, then another. having never seen the outside, the winged creatures amazed him - where had they come from? after all, the only place inga knew of was the institution; he didn't know of any 'outside world'. in fact, inga thought that these butterflies were some kind of god.
"Looking for 照らし出して Looking for, show it illuminating,"
more moons passed and the usual routine was carried out for inga - training, battles, competitions. in fact, over time, it started to get a little boring. the felines his age weren't good enough, in inga's mind and eventually, the hindwalkers gave him more challenging opponents - some were almost twice his size. but, although inga didn't always win, those that he did win weren't through strength. it was by speed, dexterity and tact. those were inga's main weapons in battle. even though the tom would use his strength if possible, it was a lot safer to head for the blind spots than attack head-on.
"さすらう 月のように like the wandering moon."
it was at eleven moons that inga finally gained his freedom. but, it was also the moon that the tom began turning sentences into conversations with the butterflies. whether it's simply him talking to himself or if there really are souls of the dead inside of the butterflies, inga seems to find ways to reply to whatever creature he may be talking to. it was only a few days after that that the bomb destroyed the institute.
no one seems to know if it were terrorists or just a simply lab accident, but one thing's for sure - that was the day that inga and shinjūrō first met. it was a pure coincidence that shinjūrō happened to be lingering around outside inga's cell when the building exploded - shinjūrō just happened to see the kitten stuck underneath some rubble, so he offered to help. many questions were exchanged about each other. who are you? what is this place? why are you here?
shinjūrō, somewhere deep in his heart, felt sorry for the sheltered life that inga had lived, but there was something that stopped him from offering to help the little tom. but, then...
"hey, shinjūrō, could you show me just what freedom really is? i'll help you out with your 'detective work' in exchange?"
at that point, inga was grinning and shinjūrō gave a smile in return.
"all right, then. but there's one condition."
that condition was simply for inga to hold back his blood thirst and kill no one. shinjūrō wasn't for the whole fighting and killing scheme, despite being involved in it himself in the past and it wouldn't be good for him if his partner was a born killer. ever since that day, both inga and shinjūrō have been partners, solving mysteries and discovering hidden truths.
let's see where their journey will take them now, shall we?

Inga certainly sounds like an intriguing cat :D His beliefs, in particular, are utterly fascinating. You've certainly made a fantastic attempt at your first bio! Expecially since you were stumped on personality for a while :3 However, there are a few things that could use expanding to make him even better :)
Personality You've made a darn good attempt at this :3 It surpasses many people's first attempt, so you should be proud. You have an interesting basis here, but you could do with diving further into his character :) What does Inga think of his past? Is he aware of himself when he turns into a 'mindless killer'? Do the two sides of him clash and cause him distress? What did he think of the training scheme? Answer these questions, and we'll understand a little more why he acts and thinks as he does :)
History You mention that he was 'trained'. What happened in this training? It's such a key part of his life, it's worth diving into a little bit more :) What tasks was he set? Were there punishments for getting things wrong? How was training structured?
