Since Hardy has left, I am now in control of the plot. Mwahahaha.

The Story

MeadowClan, like any other Clan, is changing. A new deputy has been chosen, new warriors are being made, and apprentices are growing. But some cats are starting to see a pattern in these changes: Meadow's new deputy may be a former kittypet, but she despises rogues. The first litter of MeadowClan had ForestClan born mentors. Former ForestClan warriors are almost always patrol and hunt leaders.

And the Medicine cat? ForestClan born. The Leader of MeadowClan? ForestClan born. The leader's own mate? ForestClan born. Dark mutterings are spreading through the Clan like wildfire. "Cedarstar favors ForestClan cats." "ForestClan born cats think they're better than us!"

Is this coincidence? Or is this favoritism? Does it matter at all, or should a complaint be made? Who should make it, if so? Do you want peace, or do you want justice? Are you uptight ForestClanner, or rebellious rogue? Perhaps you are neither - but the pressure is building, and the choice might be made for you. Right now, there is little but a crack in the foundations of this Clan - but that crack is slowly growing bigger. It is, in essence, a widening divide.

Cats are now starting to ask themselves this one question: Is this MeadowClan, or MeadowClan and ForestClan?

The Plot so Far

Cedarstar is beginning to grow suspicious of his clan, and all too rightly. Loner-, and Rogue-born cats are starting to see a pattern in the high rankings of MeadowClan. The leader. ForestClan. His deputy. ForestClan. Even the Medicine Cat had his origins in the infamous ForestClan. Those born ‘outsiders’ begin to question Cedarstar’s judgment. Are they really all equal? Or is Cedarstar’s favor bought with lineage?


The Planned Progression

- Loner & Rogue-born cats question whether they are equal with ForestClan-born cats in Cedarstar’s eyes for various reasons.

- Cedarstar, coincidentally, grows suspicious of his clan, believing them to be muttering about his decision behind his back.

- Loner & Rogue-born cats begin to voice their doubts publicly.

- Tensions rise during various debates.


Recent:

-During Sinking Into Thin Air, cats gathered - some showed their feelings, and some didn't. Many called for strict punishment of the tricksters; only a few called for leniency. Do they feel as though their voices have been heard? Do the ForestClanners think Cedarstar is being too easy and conceding? Have them remember this event and what they thought!


Current events:

Future Events:

-Cedarstar has lost his second life to a fox attack; Russetfoot, former kittypet, failed to save him. When they return to notify the Clan, will he blame her because of her lack of skill...or her heritage?

-Gingerstripe, Cedarstar's mate, will soon become pregnant. What will cats think? Will they be bitter, believing the leader's kits will be favored?

How can I get involved?

*Make a cat- MeadowClan is made up of predominantly ForestClan-born cats who have been following Cedarstar since the journey’s beginning. Perhaps even before then. Making Loner- or Rogue-born cats that feel slighted favor-wise because of this (enough to take action) is a great way to jump into the plot.

*Make a stand- If you already have a cat or cats that would be suitable for this plot, feel free to expand their views. Which side will they take? Will they drastically protest or solidly defend? Or will they be among the moldable, ready for a particularly persuasive cat to sway them…

*Roleplay- Make plot-influenced threads, conspire, etc.

After running into her old lover friend Elkstep, Iceheart was told of the struggles facing foreign-born cats in Meadowclan and Elkstep begged her to join her cause. Since Iceheart had owed him in the past for some deeds he had done for her old family, and because she could not resist helping those weaker than her, Iceheart agreed, joined the clan and is here solely to bring justice.

Cat's Reason | Raggedpelt doesn't wish to take a side in the matter, and thinks that until proof for either arguement is give, he will stay out of it. However, if tensions rise and he is forced to pick a side, he would probably choose to remain loyal to Cedarstar unless something arises that makes him more wary of what the leader if doing. He wants to stay loyal to the Clan, and deciding which side is better for the Clan will take some long considering.

Cat's Reason | Russetfoot has heard the questioning of their leader, Ceadarstar, but isn't quite sure what to make of it yet. In her eyes, unless direct proof is given or seen, she will not choose a side on the matter. She feels a pull toward her past rouge companions, if she had to choose, but also feels like shes on good terms with Ceararstar. If it comes down to a decision, she might not even know where she'll stand.
