What a nice day for a stroll. The ginger colored tom thought as he padded along the border, looking around and cheerfully bounding around the trees. He was enjoying the nice fresh air along the Fogclan border, and wondered how the mysterious clan was doing. Perhaps they were doing well, or perhaps a bit worse than that? He wasn't sure, and he was a bit curious. He shrugged a bit to himself and jumped on top of a fallen tree, trotting along it in a carefree manner. In a normal situation as a normal well-rounded warrior, he would have been quieter and more alert to sounds of the forest- just in case he could have caught some prey. But Flamepelt? Catch prey? Pfft. That was a lot easier said than done. The ginger tom leaped off of the fallen giant, and landed on a few stones not too far away. He landed carefully, his fur gliding into place around his feline form.
He took a moment to rest, knowing that the river wasn't too far off from here, and wondered if perhaps he should head that way. He was sure he would, at some point, but wasn't quite sure if he wanted to yet. . . Nah, he could wait. Looking around the forest once or twice, his eyes strayed to the Fogclan border- and he pricked his ears. Had he just heard some commotion? For a moment, he thought it might have been a squirrel, but he couldn't be sure. He didn't know if it was his ears, or if a Fogclan cat was heading right his way. He never had any experience with Fogclan cats before, so if this was one of those rumored ghosts- this would be quite an interesting experience.

The fog, not as dense as usual, rolled over the forest floor. Walking quietly between the body of fog and the ground was a cat. The earth beneath her white paws was sodden, causing almost every bit of dirt to stick to her pads. The tabby warrior took no notice of the annoyance. The moist ground helped soften her steps, which she thanked StarClan for more readily with every step she took that brought her closer to the border between her own territory and that of StreamClan.
Kestrelheart was supposed to be hunting. The young warrior had decided that instead of wasting her time just sitting and curling her tail back and forth, she'd actually go do something. Hunting was the only option available, as the border patrol had already left. Of course, she'd never been one to find the art of hunting exciting. She was a capable hunter, but she was more apt at battling. It wasn't long before the she-cat grew bored of trying to find prey. Now, she was simply inspecting the border that she was closest to, which just so happened to be StreamClan.
Did she expect to find any cat; or any disturbance? No. StreamClan weren't ones to bother others. Not as a whole, anyway. Did she feel confident in her ability to do handle any situation that might arise near the border when it came to the smaller cats of StreamClan? Yes. Of course she was. There was no doubt in her mind at all about that.
Once she was only a few fox-lengths away from the border, she paused and opened her mouth to absorb the scents all around. The air was so thick she almost choked and coughed aloud. That was no good for a patrol. Kestrelheart's throat burned as she swallowed the cough that endangered her presence. It took her a few moment to recover. All the while, however, her ears were pricked. The larger-than-average she-cat wasn't sure, but she could have sworn she'd heard something. A fox? A mouse? Another cat?
Once again, the warrior collected the scents from the area around her, using only her nose this time. The area smelled of both clans, sodden ground and water. There was a distinct smell across the way, however, one that was very, very present. She could tell now that it was, indeed, a cat. The young feline's ears swiveled backward and folded against the sides of her head as she tried to peer through the dense fog. Unable to tell whom it was, she walked forward until she could, entirely unafraid.
By the time she stopped, her stance was simply curious. Her ears were forward, her eyes were slightly narrowed so that she could see, and her tail was twitching back-and-forth thoughtfully. This cat was doing nothing wrong. Not from what she could tell. "You're by yourself," she couldn't help but point out as she flicked the tip of her tail at the tom.

A slight movement caught the ginger tom's green and blue eyes- and he smiled a bit as a she-cat (A beautiful one) came into his sight. Why hello there. Flamepelt thought, watching as she got a bit closer and he examined this Fogclan feline. She was a brown tabby she-cat with green eyes, and she looked quite charming. Ahh, the beauty of a she-cat never ceased to amaze him.
" You're by yourself " [/s] As she spoke, his small smile turned into a grin. A bit of laughter escaped from his jaw, and he focused his eyes onto her. " You say as you walk by yourself miss. " He mewed, a bit amused to the blunt comment she had made. She looked a bit uptight, maybe he should try and help with that. He purred a tiny bit, stretching along the rock he was sitting on and clawing at the tough stone for a moment. " I see no problem with taking a tiny break from the camp, adventuring on your own, sometimes it can even lighten your spirits. See where im coming from beautiful?" Flamepelt wondered what she had been doing out here anyhow. He doubted that Fogclan cats simply wandered around for fun- they seemed too uptight for things like that- but he knew that he should never judge a cat by their fur. Even if it seemed so convincing. His ears swiveled around, listening for any more cats that could be in the area- but was almost sure that they were alone. " So what brings your cute little fur to the border, hmm? " He mewed curiously, tilting his head a bit as he spoke. (OOC; GAH ; - ; its so short. im sorry~)

Kestrelheart studied the tom for quite some time while he spoke, half disgusted and half flattered by the terms he used to describe her. Disgusted because he was a PineClanner? No. She didn't think so. If that were the case, she wouldn't even still be there. Why was she just standing there, staring? Not knowing what to think of his flattery, whether it was true or not, the young warrior instinctively looked around for other cats sent there to either spy on her or laugh at her, from both sides. There were none, of course. No tom had ever paid her much attention before; not attention like this. What if she liked it? Was that bad?
Looking back to the tom, her wide eyes were uncertain. An ear flicked and the silence stretched on for quite a while she thought. "I-I....I was hunting, or trying to, and grew bored. Now I'm merely checking the borders," or at least this one.
Wait. Why was she explaining herself to this PineClan tom? Because of his pretty little words? Oh, how confused she was. StarClan would not approve of this, would they? Then again, making acquaintances with cats from other Clans wasn't such a bad thing, was it? Only, this was PineClan. They didn't believe in StarClan. Did they deserve any type of good will? This tom didn't seem so bad, though. He was only one, after all, and he didn't seem hostile. Most PineClanners were hostile when confronted by a FogClanner, and yet he sent her pretty, flattering words.
"Time is too valuable for strolls," she said then, the words finding her tongue before she could stop them. "Every second counts. The time passes and you never get it back. I couldn't bare to think that I'd wasted precious time on a selfish stroll." It was a most ridiculous thought. "You should be hunting instead, feeding your Clan." She should be doing something more important with her time.

Flamepelt smiled a bit as he noticed the she-cat become a bit shocked, or so she looked it. He guessed that she wasn't used to a cat like him, and felt himself laugh to himself a bit- how amusing. She suddenly seemed very uncomfortable in her own fur, and he waited for her to say something. It seemed as if she finally found the courage to speak, but her words were a bit stuttered.
" I-I....I was hunting, or trying to, and grew bored. Now I'm merely checking the borders. " [/s] He nodded, that sounded much more like Fogclan to him. Never seemed to have any fun, those Fogclan felines. Why did they have to be so strict and serious? Gotta live life while you can. Thats what he liked to think anyhow- what was the point of dying if you didnt live? Perhaps that wasn't the right way to put it, but it was somethin like that. " Time is too valuable for strolls, Every second counts. The time passes and you never get it back. I couldn't bare to think that I'd wasted precious time on a selfish stroll. You should be hunting instead, feeding your Clan. "[/s] He sat up and considered his words for a moment, tilting his head and looking up at the sky before nodding. " Well, i guess i can see what you mean sweetheart." He mewed thoughtfully, before looking down at her with his blue and green eyes. " But time should also be cherished, with happiness and appreciation. Not all time has to be completely towards your clan- now dont get me wrong. A cat's clan is very very very important. But sometimes, you gotta live for yourself too. You only live once, and it shouldn't constantly be wasted by border patrols. " He mewed happily, flicking his tails around his paws and smiling. " So live a little beautiful. Take a run, a walk, stop to enjoy the sounds of the wind, the smell of the trees, and whats all around you. Enjoy it, have fun." He laughed and jumped across the stones he had been laying on, approaching the border and the young feline, a smile playing on his face " So, think about living a bit sweetheart. I can teach you if you would like."

Great StarClan, she hoped this wasn't some sort of test. Kestrelheart would have already failed miserably by now. The toned female had half a mind to just turn away and bolt into the oak woods of her own Clan, hide away from this tom and pretend that he never existed. But if she'd failed already, what was the point in turning back now? His words were...intriguing, to say the least.
Still not accustomed to the sweet words, the fur at her paws began to prickle as she tried her best to subdue slight, pleasurable trembles that rolled over her. As she did so, her mind began to wander and she began to consider his words.
"But time should also be cherished, with happiness and appreciation. Not all time has to be completely towards your clan- now don't get me wrong. A cat's clan is very very very important. But sometimes, you gotta live for yourself too. You only live once, and it shouldn't constantly be wasted by border patrols. "
But if every cat didn't spend every second they had toward their Clan, they would be near as strong as they were. Could time like that be afforded? What would she even do with herself? She'd regret it afterward, surely. But the idea didn't seem so bad....Wait! What was she saying? Of course it did! Was this tom trying to brain-wash her? Or was he just trying to be friendly and share his difference in opinion with her? The latter of the two options seemed more likely, given the situation and she wasn't keen on believing the former. Well, she was, but she was trying her very hardest not to be. For some reason, she'd decided to give this feline a chance.
"So live a little beautiful. Take a run, a walk, stop to enjoy the sounds of the wind, the smell of the trees, and whats all around you. Enjoy it, have fun."
Kestrelheart lifted her head, looking around the magnificent forest around here. At her feet, pine needles and pine cones mixed with oak leave and acorns, merging without any sense of rivalry, it seemed. The fog slowly began to dissipate as the day grew hotter. Still, the moist air made her fur ever-so-damp. A soft wind rustled through the leaves ahead, making leaves of all sorts rustle. It was strange-sounding to her, 'cause she'd never listened to it so closely before. After a while, however, the noise became pleasurable and she found herself enjoying it. A bird chirped, then another called back to it. The tabby she-cat would have never noticed the sounds before. She was always so focused on doing her job, playing her part, chasing her dreams and pursuing StarClan all the while.
As she looked down, their was a glimmer of smile on her face, but it soon faded into that of utter confusion. "There's something to teach?" Life was as natural as it got. How do you teach a cat to live?

The ginger tom watched as his words sunk in, and he couldn't help but actually feel joy when he saw the change in her. It wasn't an obvious change, but it was one. It was one of appreciation for everything around her, the things that were natural, the things that they should all appreciate.
" There's something to teach? " [/s] He smiled a bit before sitting down in front of her and asking. " Well beautiful, that depends. Have you ever really lived before? " He smile grew wider as he studied the cat in front of him. " When was the last time you cared about yourself, about having fun, about enjoying life? No offense beautiful, but i can't really say you've done it recently. I can see it in you the same way i see it in my clanmates. You're trying to be nobel for your clan. " He mewed, waiting to let his words sink in. For her to think about the last time she enjoyed anything, truely enjoyed anything. He took a few more moments before looking into her eyes, letting his green and blue eyes meet hers, before saying one more thing. " But whats the point if we all end up useless drones in a battle for power and greed? "
